My wife and I wanted to check this state park out for future use. We have a small travel trailer and we like the location. We were very pleased with everything we saw here. The have over 100 camp sites. The RV sites only have water and electricity, but they do have a dump station near the general store. The... More

Last time we vacationed in Arizona we found Patagonia Lake State Park, rented a pontoon boat and toured the lake. That was 4 years ago, so when decided to return to Tucson, we knew we had to go back. This time we rented a trolly, it was slow going but still enjoyable. We packed a picnic lunch and stopped at... More

Very nice place to camp, either tent or in an RV. Nestled in the hills with quite a variety of birds. Very busy on the weekends. Rent a boat and troll around the lake. So beautiful!

First time here. Surprised at $15 entry fee but we spent part of the day relaxing at the beach and watching the birds and lake activity. The rangers were friendly and helpful. We would go back and try out the marina. Pretty location and would be nice for a family outing. Lots of tables and grills for cooking. I imagine... More

Patagonia Lake State Park offers swimming on a nice sandy beach, boating, fishing, kayaking and camping. There's area ofers a lot of fun for the family. We stay there for 4 days, camping with tent and fishing. Maybe it was NOT the right time, a group of 6 young people with 6 dogs terrorize our area. The dogs are running... More

We visited this state park specific for birding. This is very busy park for other recreational purposes (e.g. camping, picnic, hiking, fishing, etc.) The park has good facilities (e.g. boat ramp, general store, visitor center, a lot of bathrooms, trails, etc.) We only stayed here for a couple of hours but I can definitely see spending the nigh in camp... We have been camping here for years and its nice to see that money put back into the area. Would like to see improvements to campsites. Very busy during summer weekends as it is closest lake to swim and fish in the area.

Patagonia Lake is a fun place. Dogs are allowed on leashes. Boats of all kinds can be rented although the prices are hefty- $35 per hour for a 4 man canoe. There is a sandy beach area with a roped off swimming section. This is fun for families. We rented a boat-in-campsite and then rented a canoe. We packed in... More

My adult daughter and I went birding here 3 or 4 times, and always enjoyed it. We did not see the Elegant Trogon, but did see many new birds to beef up our life lists.

Our visit here was a nice surprise. The park and lake have plenty to offer, with camping, boating, fishing, hiking, bird watching, picnic areas, a swimming beach, clean restrooms and events. We went for the annual Mariachi Festival and had a good time. It's a nice peaceful and pretty place for a day trip or weekend - tucked away in... More
