We went there early morning to reserve our preferred tables and stayed until late afternoon. It’s a great place to just hang out and relax with friends. There are BBQ pits everywhere. Bathrooms are clean too!

This is a great state park for camping and seeing a great variety of birds. Cardinals and Tangiers are plentiful as well as orioles. Met many birders both experts and newbies. Don’t miss this place and enjoy yourself. Already have future visits planned.

We visited mainly to walk the birding trail. The trail is very well maintained and offers a great variety of habitats. A great birding destination.

Make reservations a year in advance. Pads and asphalt have unexpected drop-offs. Easy to trip. As a senior, I might pass up camping here again. You must watch your step! Otherwise, good trails, observation area, cabins, small store, gift shop, visitor center, beach, marinas.

We had a very difficult spot to get into but the up side of that was it was very private after the birders hours.

$15 per car, which we thought was reasonable. We stopped at the visitors centre first and the lady there was very helpful. She gave us a map and a list of birds we should look for. We parked in the car park at the trail...More

This is one of the most peaceful areas for camping and hiking. It is a little out of the way but well worth the time to get there.

Brand new cabins, but I believe the wait is already one year. Call the park! Might get lucky on a cancellation! The little cabins have beautiful views!
