We went there early morning to reserve our preferred tables and stayed until late afternoon. It’s a great place to just hang out and relax with friends. There are BBQ pits everywhere. Bathrooms are clean too!

This is a great state park for camping and seeing a great variety of birds. Cardinals and Tangiers are plentiful as well as orioles. Met many birders both experts and newbies. Don’t miss this place and enjoy yourself. Already have future visits planned.

Make reservations a year in advance. Pads and asphalt have unexpected drop-offs. Easy to trip. As a senior, I might pass up camping here again. You must watch your step! Otherwise, good trails, observation area, cabins, small store, gift shop, visitor center, beach, marinas.
