Unique bar in the middle of nowhere.

This is a great, very unique bar several miles off the highway at the end of a dirt road. When we visited they were doing a "landoffice" business and had a great band. They generate their own electricity and haul in water. Light snacks and hamburgers are available as well as a full bar. Very friendly people. Well worth a... More

Not really worth the trip. The road is totally a mess so forget going there in a car. The place is packed and the prices just not worth all the hassle of heading out there. It is a loooong trip. However, for those with visitors it might be a consideration if you have the whole day and a rental truck.... More

Hard to get to. Not a problem with truck, ATV or vehicles with high profile. No place for a Prius...LOL. Very rough going for the last 5 miles. Take it slow & easy and you'll be rewarded. Fun place to be. Good food with reasonable price considering how far they have to haul everything up the mountain. Good drinks &... More

Had been going to the Nellie E. Saloon (a.k.a. The Desert Bar) for years but hadn't stopped in for a while and decided to go again over Presidents Day weekend after not being there in about 4 years. Wow, it's still growing after I didn't think it could grow anymore. Due to the holiday weekend and the fireworks show in... More

Very rough road but worth going out the 5 miles off the highway if you haven't experienced the desert bar . Food has improved over the last few years, beer is always cold. Usually have good live music. Only open through the winter months.

We rode out here on a side by side. The road was rough at times but was part of the adventure for us! Was amazing to see the bar in the middle of the desert. The food was great, drinks were cheap and they had an awesome band! It was a great time.

We are full time RVer's and have been able to travel and see most of what the US has to offer. Aside from the obvious, National parks, monuments etc. there are always unique venues. This is definitely a must see. So much fun.
