In July we were looking to cool off. The trip up this mountain was not only beautiful, the terrain changes were interesting and made the 20 mile trip up go quickly. Tons of places to pull over to get pictures. We went up to Ski Valley and took the lift to the top of the mountain. Well worth the 20... More

This was a real treat! The views are absolutely gorgeous! We were fortunate thunder storm cleared out and they opened lift. So glad we drove back up to the lift. Very peaceful 30 minutes round trip ride. It was not crowded at all--but weather was a quite chilly for the end of June. So glad we had opportunity to take... More

Drove all of the way up the mountains witnessing gorgeous views. Before heading down we decided to check out the one more road. When we got to Ski Valley I saw people riding up on a ski lift. We decided to pull in and see it we could get in on the fun assuming it didn't cost too much. After... More

I can't accurately describe how awesome Mount Lemmon is so I'm throwing in some pictures. If you have only one thing you can do in Tucson this is it. It covers absolutely everything. It's easy to find. The 26 miles up the mountain seems like a long way but it's so gorgeous and the road is so nice that you... More

The drive up to Mount Lemon from Tucson is spectacular. You start on at 2250 feet altitude and end up over 8000 feet. Topography changes from desert with fantastic cactus to just mountainous with great rock formations to pine trees and snow. it was 82F in Tucson, 54F on the top of the mountain

This is the southernmost ski slope in the United States. They give rides up the mountain on the lift in the summer months. It doesn't snow enough for skiing every year.

I absolutely love this ski valley. It is very intimate, and has an amazing backstory. It is also the southernmost ski valley in the USA, which is very cool. The staff is nice, and the rentals actually don't take too long (about 30 minutes). I got there early and spent the whole day there. I also cut my ear on... More

We drove up here a few days ago as part of our trip to the top of Mt. Lemmon. It looks like a nice little day ski area, considering where you are. There was snow on the slope, but not enough to ski down. They were selling chairlift tickets ($11 adult) for just a sightseeing ride up and down (we... More

They have this Oktoberfest for like 5 weekends in the fall. We didn't go there for the event and honestly nobody but the locals should attend. It had a band and a few sausages available, but nothing else and it costs $5 to park whether you are attending the event or not (even if you are just eating at restaurant).... More
