Well worth a visit. The cathedral is very impressive from the outside and even more beautiful inside. I would highly recommend attending one of the Sunday services (there is one English service and several in Samoan). The quality of the singing for one is well-worth experiencing all the while marveling at the impressive architecture.

It was a lovely building, there done over the altar is impressive.
You can walk right in, it’s open fire the public to wander through, we were the only ones there and the local artists have done the pairing and glass windows.

I thought it was a lovely church with credit to be given to the community to have such a wonderful place to worship and the workmanship from such a small country.

It works have been nice to experience a service there, but alas, we did not.

A visually stunning cathedral both inside and out. Great photo opportunity from many parts of town too. We loved the Sunday service, in English, and with a great deal of beautiful singing. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

The craftmanship is distinctly missing in this ostentatious building. Money could be better spent on building a masterpiece. Not a good job done.

This amazing church has been rebuilt following storm and is incredible in its cultural influences in the design, such skilled craftmanship in the decor. Felt spiritual just being there

A must see Cathedral. It is unbelievable to see such a magnificent church in the South Pacific. The timber ceiling, the stain glass windows and the paintings are just beautiful. To worship there every Sunday would be spiritually uplifting.

There are so many churches in Apia but this one stands out. Impressive elegance you find only if you enter.

We just popped in to see this magnificent Church that you can see from afar and was mesmerised by it's beauty from the outside but OH MY GOODNESS, this is absolutely an amazingly gorgeous beautifully crafted, designed, built Church - all Glory & Honour to the Most High and Mighty God for this peaceful and spiritual place to Worship HIM in Paradise....a must see and experience if visiting Apia, Samoa...most definitely!

We attended the Sunday english speaking service about 9.30am but would recommend going to the earlier Samoan speaking service. Samoan's have such beautiful singing voices. This Catholic cathedral has been beautifully (stunning in fact), rebuilt, refurbished and ornately decorated throughout. The central ceiling is carved with Samoan motifs in wood and the floors are v. highly polished patterned marble. The whole Cathedral is surrounded by ornate & colourful stained glass windows. The ceiling dome is a mixture of pictorial Samoan culture & Christianity. The Cathedral is open-aired but on a hot day, I recommend sitting near an arched doorway to the outside to catch any passing breeze. The outside is painted in blue & white and can be photographed & distinctly recognised from afar e.g. across Apia harbour from Matautu tai to the east or from the reclaimed land in Apia CBD. The Cathedral sits on Beach Rd across the road from Apia harbour in the centre of town.
