If you’re willing to fight the crowds at this flea market in a shed, you may find some interesting Samoan handicrafts or mats, and you can even watch works-in-progress.

First we went to a outdoor fish market. Wow, such variety! Afterwards, we stoped at the "Old Apia Market". Lots of fresh produce. Plus there was the usual tourist stuff. There were many people there buying mementos of their trip at the market. Really, if...More

Great people, worth a visit. Just like most markets most of the stall are selling the same stuff. Felt like it was a good honest place to buy local souvenirs. The day we went it was very hot, the market was under cover and out...More

Lovely people, but not a lot of variety in what's for sale. The usual carvings, sarongs, shirts and shell jewellery - some good souvenirs if that's what you're looking for.

This was a nice market. There was an overwhelming amount of goods. I bought a skirt which was handmade but very cute and inexpensive. If I would have known that markets were scarce around the island, I would have spent more time and money.

I enjoy walking through local markets. Each on is a little bit different. This market gave an insight in to Samoan life. Most of the things I saw were hand-made. I like to support the local people, so I purchased a hand-made tunic in the...More

The market was interesting enough. We didnt buy anything, found it a bit too expensive. My partner got a haircut from the barbers at the market, we were pleased. The fish and chips from the fish market across the way was excellent.
