My friend lives nearby and suggested this. There is a daily park usage fee but clean restrooms safe trails. Nice parking lots. We hiked the Pipeline Trail. It is about 6 miles round trip and pretty easy. There are some steeper parts but all doable.

Park admission for vehicle $7.00. Hiking trails with beautiful views and an occasional donkey sighting. Good place to kayak or rent a boat from the marina. One can camp along the shoreline. Dinner or drinks at Dillion's Restaurant. Definitely reccommend spending a day here.

The lake is a good size with a couple of marinas. We went out with some friends for a few hours and left out of the Scorpion Bay marina (larger of the 2 marinas). They have boats and jet skis for rent. At the other...More

Nice to be able to go to a lake near Phoenix, less than an hour away. Water level was low, so that took away from the beauty. Parking was 7 dollars also. Very peaceful, not many people. Great place to kayak. I look forward to...More

We have friends with a boat and go to Lake Pleasant with them. Water way is not too crowded, you can maneuver in and out of the coves. Several places you can eat if you don't take your own foid. Just don't forget your sunscreen!

Lake Pleasant is a fresh water lake in the desert. It has boating facilities and waterfront bars and eateries. We spent a beautiful day on the lake in a rented pontoon boat.

Found this great park within 20 minutes of Phoenix. Beautiful reservoir with scenic views. The hiking trails on the north side of the lake were fantastic. Beautiful desert scenery, wildlife and well maintained trails. Found several secluded swimming holes about a mile out, with more...More

I had been to this lake many years ago not long after it was expanded and I had not been back, as it was very ugly with many logs floating and reports of rattle snakes and scorpions swimming in the water. It was ugly. We...More
