We rented bikes in Banos and biked to this waterfall on the Ruta de las Cascadas. The hike to the waterfall is full of lush flora and fauna. Once you get to the Pailon del Diablo, you wee why it is so incredible! You can...More

Sounds silly, but this was one of the reasons we went to Ecuador. The photos do not do justice to the waterfall. It is amazing. would be even more fun if the water level is high, because when you are at the look out points,...More

Definitely go see this place. You can get right up to the waterfall. Very unique place with a suspension bridge and stairs built along the side of the cliff.

If you're up for a thrilling bike ride on the highway, I recommend renting bikes in Banos to get to the Pailon. The scenery along the way is breathtaking, and then to cap it off you get to see this beautiful park at the end.

If you're in shape and are used to hiking, you'll be fine. It's really pretty at the bottom and there is a cool suspension bridge down there. They are even building a fancy new restaurant with a great view.

This wasn't on my list of things to do during our recent visit to Ecuador...but by my good fortune we stopped by and saw it. You will never forgive yourself if you drive by...I mean it is beautiful and scary at the same time! Walking...More
