About El Che Turismo Alternativo
Our proposal is to provide everything you need to navigate the waters of the beagle channel for an unparalleled experience. We will travel through different islands that make up the bridges archipelago and find the most prone sites to see sea lions and several species of birds characteristic of this region. We took our creative side to take photos with the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse, icon of Ushuaia. You will navigate to break away from the daily workload, and enjoying a fantastic 360° view of the channel from the panoramic point of Bridges island, after having hiked uphill. Around noon or the afternoon, depends on departure time that you choose, we share a snack with craft beer; and throughout the journey we have availability of tea, coffe or hot chocolate. Groups are small, which ensures a totally personalized treatment. Quality and human warmth make our guests feel at home straightaway. Therefore, we advise you to book in advance.

Great trip, great crew. The Captain and his mate provided the group with a very nice day on the water. His local knowledge was appreciated and his concern for the environment obvious. He spotted a baby’s pacifier floating on a bed of kelp. Most would have ignored it but not him. He fished it out of the water which prevented it from being consumed. My only criticism is the amount of Spanish used throughout the tour. We were a mixed bag of people, not a group traveling together. Of the 10 of us we were the only two not fluent in Spanish. The Captain spoke perfect English but chose to describe everything in his native language. Yes, I know we were in his country, and I do speak and understand Spanish but not fluently, my friend knows little beyond gracias. The Captain is in the tourism industry and must accommodate all of his patrons. Had he spent just a little time sharing his knowledge and insights in English it would have been greatly appreciated. I would guess that most of the Luther passengers spoke and understood English so they would not have minded if he spoke to us in English. Other than this small complaint I recommend this tour.

Hi! Thanks for your comment! I'm very sorry about the language. probably if you had told him at the time, the guide spoke more english. maybe he didn't notice. but we will consider your comment so that it does not happen again with other passengers. regards

We had a great experience from the booking with Vanina to each minute on the bote with Leo and David. A great balance of good information and sense of humor. We very much liked their respectful attitudes towards the native plants and animals. The walk on Isla Bridges was beautiful and very informative about the plants. The beer and picada were excelente.

From the first point of contact, till been dropped back safe to port, the experience had been absolutely excellent ! Vanina, Leo and David are personable, welcoming, professional, fun and very knowledgeable. If you come to Ushuaia, it’s a must to take this tour, better so if you take it on your first day (and again on your last :) ).

I cannot compare since I have not been on any other boat in Ushuaia, however, this one is definitely offering a good price/quality. It only fits 10 people, making it easy to mingle and the staff is very attentive. You can drink as much and whatever you like and there is an included snack on the way back. It has generally a very good vibe on the boat. Cost: 2600 arg. pesos.

We had to defer our original booking due to a flight delay. El Che were so accommodating to us, making sure that we got the next available tour with them and if they were unable to travel (due to expected inclement weather) they were going to arrange for us to go with another operator, they did not want us to miss the experience. In the end they were able to travel and our small group enjoyed every second of the tour. Their boat is smaller than most of their competition so they can get closer to sea lions etc. and make it a more personal experience. The staff were so knowledgeable and considerate of the environment. We concluded with a nature walk on a nearby island and followed this with lunch on board. One of the best travelling experiences we have had anywhere in the world.
