Regret not to have played it
Feb 2020
We travel all over the world with our clubs but on the way to Antarctica we decided to leave our clubs in Buenos Aires which was a mistake. By accident (we booked a half day tour in Terra de Fuego) we came along this course and thus visited it. We met and talked to the manager (owner even?) and had a stroll over the course. Damn, we should have played it....

Golf at the "End of the World"
Mar 2019 • Friends
If you are a golfer and get to Ushuaia you mus have a go at the most southerly 9 holes in the world. Club rentals and pull carts are available. Dress warmly in March.
The accommodating pro issued a fancy certificate saying I had golfed at latitude 54 deg, 29' 52". Only 9 holes and some confusing set-ups but a fun experience.

9:15PM tee time in January, anyone?
Jan 2019 • Solo
The Ushuaia Golf Club is located a few kilometers west of its namesake city, just next to the End of the World Train. My first visit here was a disappointment as it was a Monday and no one was available; I found out later that it was the one day of the week they were closed. A quick e-mail that evening was returned instantly by the manager and I came the next day at 10AM to sort out the green fee and rental equipment. Balls and tees, along with clubs are readily available.

Like all of my golf course reviews, this comes with the caveat that I’m a beginner golfer that has yet to break 100 on 18 holes. The course is nine holes (evidently it has a reversible format) and I played it twice at 2458 yards. The fairways were average in condition and the greens were decent; the surrounding scenery was literally breathtaking as clouds lifted around the 8th hole of the second round revealing sunshine over snow-capped mountains. Wildlife included the snouted Ibis and a woodpecker among families of geese, and I was the only player on the course during my three hours. While the restaurant was closed, the manager did have cold beer available and there were several items of monogrammed clothing and labeled balls/tees/bag tags for purchase. To top things off I was e-mailed a certificate confirming my attendance a few days later.

This was a very unique experience and I would highly recommend it to any fellow golfers reading this review. As being outdoors is one of the hallmarks of the game it’s tough to imagine a round as memorable as this one although I’m sure they exist. Sure the course isn’t in the best condition but given the latitude here we’re lucky to even have the option of playing on one. My only recommendation is to contact the club a week or two ahead to secure a time… aside from that have at it.

Challenge yourself
Mar 2018 • Solo
A unique 9 holes course in a very remote windy and refreshing place. The course is challenging and worth a trial if down there.
Some 2 holes are quite surprising hence challenging as no flag is to be seen. I rent a set of clubs of medium quality. Surprisingly many club members where around in the afternoon making the course quite active.
I loved it so much that I played 2 different days.
A mini van can take you there for 300$ round trip. The stop is the same as for the train. The golf yes. The train no.

Don't expect lush fairways and fast greens, and you will not be disappointed.

Who wants a resort course here anyway, you're playing golf at the end of the world! The experience in itself is fantastic. I'd been in contact via email with Guillermo who could not have been more friendly and helpful. We arrived direct from the airport complete with hand luggage and he arranged a place for us to leave all of our gear while we went out on the course using the rental clubs that were already in place on pushcarts waiting for us. The scenery is outstanding and we were very lucky with the weather. There is even a small souvenir shop with logo balls, ball markers, towels etc. Most people pass through Ushuaia en route to Antarctica. If you're a golfer do yourself a favour....don't bother with the uninteresting city tour or national park tour while waiting to board your boat. Jump in a taxi and make your way here. You won't regret it.

Very impressive club with interesting surrounding

We played this course on our last day. Although we had everything from sun over rain to wind this golf course has its special charme. 60 USD is a fair price for 18 holes (9 holes to be played twice). 25 USD for rental clubs that were okay (Spalding). Good empanadas, a very good coffee and a very friendly owner rounded up this beautiful experience!!! Happy to come again😍

Interesting course

To play on the southern most course in the world is enough motivation, narrow fairways, good, small greens, we did not expect that quality.

Golf the southernmost course in the whole world!
Nov 2013 • Friends
The first time that I was in Ushuaia, I learned of their course only as I drove by it on the last day of touring Tierra del Fuego National Park. This time would be different.
As a golf course, it is not challenging unless the weather is really bad. The thing that makes it unique is that it is further south than any other course. Some of the views are very scenic from the flat, untreed fairways, but the lack of trees can result in wind affecting the ball flight. It is not expensive by world standards. Rental clubs and pushcart are available. Dress code is pretty casual. Club professional is friendly and supportive. The day that I was there, there was no backup. In fact, for a part of the game, my twosome was alone on the course.
If you are a golfer and are in Ushuaia, you owe it to yourself to golf this course.
