At first sight, many think Bahía Encerrada to be a lake, but it is in fact, as its Spanish name confirms, a "confined bay."

We came to the Usuhaia Post Office and mailed a card home. Cool!

We came to Usuhaia Bay and "the post office at the end of the world." Sent a card home to us and received it a few weeks later. Beautiful stamps!

Mother Nature never disappoints in this partof the world. I love everything about Tierra del Fuego, Ushuaia and what Argentina has to offer to the adventurists. Lots of picture taking.Weather is cold, but wearing layers and preparing will make it enjoyable and worth every effort to get there.

There isn't anything outstanding about the bay itself, but you can behold spectacular views there at sunrise and sunset. I found it to be a good place to take pictures in Ushuaia. Also, it is nice to take a walk around the bay.

Just came from the dock and had to write a review. We were looking to go with another operator but they only had the giant boats available and they took us to this company's dockside shack. The tour was 50 Pesos dearer than the larger boats and worth every Peso! The boat has a spacious inside cabin and above that... More

this is a pretty bay and the bus from ushuaia stops here near the post office. the trail for senda costera begins here. there are lovely photo ops here with the end-of the-world post office. we got our stamps from the tourist info office in ushuaia for free. there were few people waiting for the postoffice to open to get... I did some online research before we went to Ushuaia and found the tour offered by Patagonia Adventur Explorer the nicest, so I made a reservation via email. The instantly confirmed and everything went smoothly. The tour was very nice! The boat was small enough to get close to the islands and we also made a walk on one of... More

The bay itself is not too clean, but it makes for a nice stroll and you can sit on the grass on the hills on the opposite side and take a look at the city while sipping a mate :)

Had a wonderful tour with Patagonia Adventure Explorer, and my husband and I couldn't have been happier that we went with this company over the other options. The boat was much smaller and we got very close to the bird and sea lions, but the highlight of the trip was debarking the boat and walking along the Bridges Island, which... More

Went on this tour as the Tres Marais tour company recommended by LP was shut - actually most of the huts were shut apart from this one so we booked with them. It was a good decision - the tour was very good and felt almost personal with not just the standard services of seeing the wild life and lovely... More

There are several boat tours you can take. When you walk down to the port to look at the options, the ticket booths swarm around you for your business. It's hard to decide. Lonely Planet recommends Tres Maris but I found the woman at that booth to be so high pressure that I walked away. My friend and I decided... More
