We took a guided hike to Laguna Turquesa in March. We enjoy hiking but are not hard core hikers. The hike is considered a moderate hike. It took us about an hour and 15 minutes to get to the lake. The views are stunning all the way up to the lake. Highly recommend dressing in layers and bring plenty of water. Fun half day activity in Ushuaia!

The blue lake was soo blue. This is caused by the minerals washed down into the water. Often copper as there are many deposits in the area. A helicopter fligt over these was a great idea.

Gorgeous lake viewed from air. We flew over it on flight from BA to Ushuaia. Would love to visit. But even in the commercial jet it looked sublime.

The climb is tremendous!! But it's worth it! It is 3 to 4 hours between round trip plus the photo time above. Medium difficulty. We climbed two adults and two children aged 8 and 10 without prior training. There's a lot of mud so we hit a few drops, but we came back whole. The climb is exhausting but low as chiffon. I don't know lose it! There are many branches at the start of the trail to grab and use cane and are leaving tourists. Take advantage of them!

The climb is tremendous!! But it is worth it! It is 3 to 4 hours round trip plus photo time above. Medium difficulty. Two adults and two children aged 8 and 10 went up without prior training. There is a lot of mud so we took a few falls, but we came back in one piece. The climb is exhausting but you go down like crazy. Do not miss it! There are many branches at the beginning of the trail to grab and use as a cane as tourists leave. Take advantage of them!
