Just like any icebar
Oct 2019 • Friends
While at the Glaciarium, it's worth a visit. You get to spend 25 mins within. Which is more than enough as it gets uncomfortable at -4c.
Good news - it's free flow of drinks for the 25 mins;).
Only a few ice sculptures. Have been to more fancy ones.

Freezing Experience
Feb 2019 • Couples
Its a novelty, an ice bar. You only live once- and its a time restricted experience, go for it. There are two ice bars, one in the Glaciarium and the other in downtown Calafate. I went to the downtown bar, there is an admission fee and the drinks are "on the house". The bar, chairs, throne and tables are made of ....ice. They provide appropriate clothing and gloves to keep you comfortable and protected from the cold, all included in the entrance fee.

Interesting

A small bar, that you need to pay the entrance aside from the entrance to the glaciarium, with free drinks for the time you are allowed to stay in the bar. Walls, chairs, tables, glasses and almost everything made of ice glaciar except of roof and floor. They give you the special cloth before entering. You stay like 20 minutes only. It's good if you haven't been in a -10 degrees Celsius bar.

Funny experience

We went there for the experience and it was nice. You can only spend 25 minutes there due to the temperature and drinks are already included, they also provide gloves and a jacket, but it's still cold. The room is small and absolutely everything is made of ice, even the glasses.

I stumbled across the Ice bar by accident when I visited El Calafate late October 2015. Its located a fair distance away from the local town, but buses regularly run to pick you up and drop you off in town.

There at the Glacier Museum you can purchase your tickets for the 30 minute session which runs from 11:30am each day. you are geared up with fun silver poncho like jackets and little gloves to cover your hands! you are then allowed in the bar (which I found to be very small, suprisingly) and with loud music playing you have until your 30 minutes are up to drink as much as you would like! the cups are small and made out of ice as well which is pretty fun!

I can only say i would have enjoyed it if we had more time in the bar, with the amount of people in there with you you line up for a bit of time to get a drink and of course you spend time taking photos of the place, so I felt like by the time i sat down I had to get back up and leave again, which was a real shame. Although in saying this, it was fun and kids are allowed with adults and can get soft drinks which is nice to see!

Tiny room, too cold, bad drinks, but hey I did it!

This is just something funny to do, but you're not missing out if you decide to skip this.

If you do try this then i would recommend you bring a jacket, they give you a cape and gloves but still, bring a jacket! You're only allowed to stay for 20 minutes so you won't freeze. You get 2 complementary drinks. The drinks are pretty bad, if you do go just get straight vodka.

The room is very small, because it's very expensive to keep a room that cold. You'll have a lot of picture opportunities, they also have a photographer of their own, incase you forgot your camera.

Like I said, this is just something fun and cold to do for 20 minutes!

We went just for the experience. If you like strobe lights and extremely loud sound this is the place for you! You get 25 mins to enjoy as much as you can drink out of out ice glasses. Provided with warm cape and gloves but can only pay in cash. Kids are allowed in and it closes before the main museum so check the opening times!

Great Ice Bar Experience

If you have never been to an ice bar, the GlacioBar was a fun experience. For 30 minutes, you can drink as much as you can. The entrance fee is pretty high, but it was fun to try. I don't see myself needing to go to another ice bar any time soon, though.

140ars,25mins drink all you can
Mar 2015 • Couples
It is what it is- an ice bar! You pay 140 Argentinan pesos for 25 minutes and in that time you can drink all that you want. It's located in the same place as the Glaciarium museum. Shuttle back to town was included as it's a bit out of town.
