We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and the Guide was very good, even when the bus broke down on the way back to El Calafate. All passengers were put on other vehicles, which she co-ordinated from the road side .....well done.

Amazing place to visit if you are in El Calafate! You get to walk on the glaciers if you book the mini trekking. Also, you have the opportunity to walk on the boardwalks they have erected and get up close to the glaciers. Great for...More
We visited the Perito Moreno glacier. The drive from El Calafate is scenic, and our guide excellent. The glacier itself is incredible. I note some have suggested that the boat trip isn’t worth it, but I would disagree. Watching chunks of ice fall into the...More

We booked tours once we arrived in El Calafate . Our hotel was Sierra Nevada , you could also book tours via them , conveniently located on the Main Street that passed through the town, where there were also a number of agencies. We used Criollos. You can pay by credit card but this costs more. They prefer cash Pesos, Dollars, Euro . As I said there are numerous agencies so just spend some time asking what’s on offer when you are there and the costs. In the end we paid less than booking before and if you do more than one tour you can get better rates.
