Went to the southern Patagonian ice field for the day. Toured the southern side of Perito Moreno glacier by boat and walked the trails along the northern side. Cold and windy but weather is part of the experience. Absolutely stunning!

Perito Mereno glacier is one of the most accessible Glaciares. Very systematic and organised viewing structure with three colour dot of red, blue and yellow on their difficulty levels. Two hour is sufficient to walk all levels. Also took the boat ride with upclose view....More

One of the best natural wonders we have seen. The catwalks get you very close to the Perito Moreno Glacier and you can see and hear it calving and shifting. Truly magnificent.

I can only say that this is the best place if‘ve ever been. The glacier is outstanding and the walks are great. Price is fair. Should go by yourself/car instead of a bus tour so you can stay there longer and enjoy the spectacular views.

It's a fantastic sight - don't miss it. Some practical advice. We arrived (Sept 2018) with some light snow to find that no vehicles were being allowed entry unless they had snow chains fitted, even though we had a 4WD and winter tyres. Returned to...More

We've never seen the glaciers and going to the walking paths that overlook Perito Moreno Glacier was amazing.

We took the mini hike to Pekito Moreno. What an unforgettable experience. So impressive to walk on the Getsjer. Will teach full respect for nature. If you are at El Calafate, we advise you not to miss this great place

This place is amazing. So beautyful and you won’t see something like that anywhere else. I was so lucky that I saw one big piece fall of from the glaciar. I got the whole thing on video. Something you must see.

Hi, I am planning to go to El Calafate for three days. Morning 9am of 7th July I'll be reaching there and shall return on 9th July evening 6pm. I have ceratin queries:- 1. What are the excurssions I must go for? 2. What the excurssions are called in terms of Tourism companies? 3. I just drafted to visit Boat ride and national park on first day (What is the name of this excursion, I dont know. Please help.). On second day, planning to trek for Fitz Roy. On third day, Perito Moreno and walking on the glacier. Is thi sfeasible? 4. Do I need any special shoes for Fitz Roy trekking? If yes, then how to manage for only one day trek? I mean , is it possible to rent? 5. Is it ok, to take any packages from the travel agencies or just use public transport? 6. What are the names of all the excurssions, I have listed for three days? 7. Approx, how much shall be the expenditure for the all three days? As, I am travelling with my one friend an dour hotel and flight tickets are booked, is the renting of the car good option? Will it be cheap? Please guide.
