Although the amazing glaciers are what drew me to calafate at first this safari experience ended up being the best thing I did there! I would highly recommend this as a must do!! I took the safari with a group of four other travelers and were guided by Manu who did a fantastic job of entertaining us all day. The... More

The Safari Experience is a very nice your! It's done in a Land Rover Defender for 7 passengers, do not expect first class seats, but it's comfortable even on the back seats. They pick you up at your hotel and then drive outside the city uphill to Estancia 25 de Mayo, on the way you can stop for pictures, and... More

We loved it. Learned more about the history, the vegetation and wild life. Had fantastic views and a great guide. Followed by a good food with bread, cheese, gulasch and wine. Bring proper cloths that keep you warm. Don't expect a safari like in Afrika full of wild life. It is in Patagonia, not in a rich savanna or rainforest.

We had a landrover with a guide who drove us through the patagonia to a farmhouse.. He was not in a rush and showed us each and every bird- like choike and animals- like guanaco..And then he took us to this farmhouse which had a lot of horses and cattle, and then he served us a warm lunch-which was home... I'm not sure what to say about the Safari Experience. We went because the reviews were so positive, but our experience did not bear that out. We went in the morning in mid April. Maybe our experience would have been better in the Spring or Summer, but I cannot recommend it in the fall/winter. The guide was very good, but... More

This trip was extremely cool. Our host Silvestre spoke English, Spanish, German, Italian and he is learning Mandarin. He took the time to explain how life is in Calafate and Patagonia. If you want to know how life is on a farm in harmony with nature and climate this is an ideal trip. Definately no tourist trap. With humor and... More

A group of 6 made arrangements for a morning Safari with Patagonia Profunda. Making the arrangements via email was quick and easy. They were very fast about returning emails and working with us to change the day of our Safari. We were picked up promptly in the lobby of our hotel as promised. Just as advertised we traveled by 4x4... More

I couldn't say more than the previous reviews, they say it all! I had a great time doing the safari, visiting an Estancia, watching the wildlife and the beautiful landscapes, followed by a nice dinner. Not only was our tour guide very friendly (on top of being handsome), he was so knowledgeable about the fauna and flora as well as... More
