Academia Bariloche specializes in teaching Spanish as a foreign language in intensive group or individual courses to students of all levels. Students from around the world are attracted by the mix of academic excellence, complete cultural immersion and professional service.Group classes have a maximum of 6 students. Teachers are all professionals with university studies and extensive experience.

I recently completed a two week intensive Spanish course at this school. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience. All of the staff at the school were very professional, welcoming, friendly, helpful, and proficient teachers. My Spanish skills improved noticeably over the two weeks and I looked forward to attending class every day. My teacher, Carina, did an excellent job challenging me but also knew when to slow down and help me integrate. Also, she is great at making a 4 hour class fun!
In addition, the teachers were so helpful when I needed directions or any assistance in planning activities and excursions around Bariloche. They truly care about your experience both at the school and in general. The school organized an outing for all the students at least once a week and really went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying our visit. The school is located in the heart of downtown which is both convenient and fun. It is clean, well-lit, and the staff provide tea, coffee, and a small snack during the break.
My homestay was great, the family I lived with were very welcoming and offered me a good challenge of practicing my Spanish at our meals together. If a homestay is not something you are interested in, I also heard positive things about the local hostels from other students.
Bariloche is awesome, it is so incredibly beautiful and there is so much to do. Much more than you can probably imagine. You should really go visit! I had such a great experience there and look forward to going back again someday. In the meantime, I look forward to continuing my Spanish lessons through this school by taking the online private lessons they offer!

I had an excellent teacher, with a very sophisticated cultural and historical perspective on Argentina. She was also kind to me during my language struggles. I learned a lot! The school also put together a wide range of interesting non-class experiences. I highly recommend the school.

It is hard to praise this school enough. Carinna and Gloria, the directors of the school, took wonderful care to see that our experiences in the classroom and at outings were outstanding, from making and eating empanadas to hiking in the mountains. Our home stay was fantastic as well. The folks who run this place really care that each student improves his or her Spanish regardless of level and enjoys beautiful Bariloche.

This is small, friendly school with 4 classrooms, very close to the main plaza in Bariloche. It offers a fantastic service - the teachers are second to none, very professional, very proficient, patient and caring. The study materials are great too, and the standard of teaching is exceptionally high. We signed up originally to study for one week, intensive but soon extended this to a second week because of the high standards at the school, and the friendly atmosphere.
We were really made to feel welcome. The staff make a real effort to organise weekly activities, and to mix with the students before class and in the breaks. They were very forthcoming with information about the local area, and activities to try/places to visit/shop like a local etc. It was my birthday while we were studying at this school and the director even baked me a cake!
I've studied different languages over the years, and had a large number of teachers - and can honestly say that the teachers, style of teaching, curriculum and materials were some of the best I've been exposed to. I would not hesitate to recommend this school to anyone. And Bariloche is a great location to study in.

I was taking spanish lessons in "Academia Bariloche" and i really loved it! The teachers are very well prepared and excellent in explaining things. I can defenitely recommend either private or group classes! The school has a very gentle atmosphere and you feel comfortable. Defenitely worth to take a spanish class and learn a lot about the argentinian culture aswell !

We are a retired couple who love to combine travel with learning the language of the country. Last year we began Spanish lessons while staying in Uruguay and this year continued that project with 5 weeks in Bariloche, studying 3 times per week at the Academia Bariloche. Our teacher, Graciela, is a gifted, energetic and generous teacher, always ready with interesting subjects for conversation and an ablility to clearly explain details of grammar. The school is a small but welcoming space right in the interesting town centre and they were exceedingly helpful in arranging our accommodation.
Both Graciela and Gloria gave us useful suggestions to fulfill our interests (eg. salsa dancing, local sights, vegetarian food, Argentinian films), all of which made our stay even more enjoyable. And we really appreciated that Gloria arranged for us (and took us) to hear an interesting lecture on human rights.
The landscapes around Bariloche are truly beautiful and are the main reason to take time to visit the area. Good walking shoes are a must!

I have visited Bariloche twice in 2013 and again in 2016. Both times I attend Spanish lessons at Academia Bariloche. The class sizes are small and are tailored to your level of Spanish. The teachers are excellent and interesting providing total immersion in the language. You also learn a lot about the culture, history, politics and much more. The school organises weekly activities to explore the area and also advice on what to see and do. The school's location is fantastic right in the center of Bariloche . Since I have returned to New Zealand I have been able to continue to learn and improve my Spanish with Skype lessons with one of the Directors. Skype lessons are surprisingly easy, fun, effective and cheaper than private lessons in my own country. I would highly recommend both the school and lessons by Skype if you are wanting to learn or improve your Spanish.

Before travelling 9 weeks through Patagonia I was a student at the Academia Bariloche for 3 weeks. I was very pleased to find myself in a very small learner group with a excellent teacher and therefore learned a lot.
With other students I enjoyed either a outdoor or indoor (Tango lessons) activitiy every week that was organized through the director. Fun AND interesting.
Bariloche is a dream destination for hikers!

Hi guys! I was there from april to may 2015 and ... I want to go back. Because it's a really nice place and the lake is so beautiful, that you must fall in love with this little area. :)
The school is really nice and the teachers are all friendly and helpfully. When you need to know a good restaurant with typical food: They know it! When want to do a outdoor-activity: They know the companys (and they can give you a discount)! If you need some help for something: They can help you, definite!! :)
So I am really happy that i know this nice people!
PS.: Also they offered skype-lessons!!!

Located in the city center of San Carlos de Bariloche, Academia Bariloche offers high quality lessons so that your Spanish will improve rapidly.
Really nice and helpful teachers, they'll help you to organize your trips (a lot of discounts available) and give you some useful tips.
Big plus is the weekly excursion together with the school, so you'll see lesser-known spots as well.
So, if you want to learn Spanish or improve your skills as well as explore the awesome landscape around Bariloche, this is the place to be!
