Our group thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon visit to the Estancia. First we learned about the history of this ranch, including a description of the horrific aftermath of the volcanic eruption about 10 years ago. Then we were treated to a refreshing & fun horseback ride to see the gorgeous wilderness area with our own eyes. It was fantastic! By the time we arrived back at the main building, our Patagonian Barbeque was ready & we gorged ourselves on fresh lamb, chicken, pork, & beef. Awesome! The final treat was a serenade by one of the gauchos on his accordian! We even got to try out our Argentine Tango! Everything was done quite professionally & with a very friendly attitude. Highly recommend a stop at this local estancia.

One of the most incredible programs we do in Bariloche. Everything was great, from breakfast and the initial explanation about the red deer, then a beautiful horseback ride around the ranch and finally a super delicious barbecue. My children loved the horseback riding, the barbecue was exquisite, it was the one we enjoyed the most during our entire trip in Argentina. Thank you very much for an unforgettable experience!

Beautiful scenery and great staff. We had a nice introduction with fry bread and jam and a talk about Yerba mate. Then our group of 17 all headed out on a carefully picked out horse. My Carmelita was a little fiesta for my limited experience but she kept me ahead of all the dust. Afterward a delicious bbq was provided with beef and sausage and salad. Wine was very plentiful and I overindulged. A wonderful experience all around

We spent a really nice day at the ranch. The horses did all the work as we trekked up through the hills, the scenery was spectacular and we had friendly gauchos to lead the way. Lunch was super, bife de chorizo washed down with Malbec. It was a lovely way to spend a day and the people working on the ranch gave us a great welcome.

I had a great time at this place 😍
First we had a little breakfast while the guy told some stories… Unfortunately they did not speak English so I couldn’t understand a word
Later we had a nice horseback ride through the country side which I really enjoyed 😊

But to be honest the best part came after when they served that BBC
That meat was super tasty 😋 and so were the chorizo. I feel like I have never in my life eaten that much meat in such a short time 🤪 I was absolutely stuffing my face because of how tasty it was
The only thing I regret is that I did not ask if I can buy their chimichurri sauce as it was the best I have eaten in all of Argentina 🤤🤤🤤

A marvellous experience visiting a working ranch. Horse riding amongst that Patagonia scenery was such a highlight.
The gauchos cooked us a magnificent BBQ lamb and beef lunch.
A Patagonian highlight

I was on a group tour with G-Adventures and this was one of the activities included in our tour. Otherwise, I doubt very much that I would have gone to a ranch for horseback riding and a barbecue. I have hardly any experience with horses, have always been a bit afraid of them, and hadn't been on a horse for around twenty years. But the host and gauchos at the ranch were so supportive that I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were 13 of us in the group. Only 2 of us were experienced with horses. The rest of us were all a little nervous. But they assured us that these horses had all been trained to be as docile as possible, they helped us to mount and dismount, they padded the saddles with sheepskin so they were more comfortable to sit on, and a couple of gauchos rode along beside us to help out when needed. We rode for two hours before lunch, up and down some small hills and through creeks. I gained some confidence as I went along and enjoyed the sense of adventure in doing something that I am not accustomed to doing. The lunch was more than ample and delicious. Most of us--including me--went back for an additional one hour ride after lunch. A couple of the guys chose to remain in the ranch house drinking wine and talking more with our host. If you have an opportunity to spend a day on the the ranch, don't miss it!

I went to La Fragua today with my family and I can say it was definitely one of the highlights of Bariloche. It took us 45 minutes to get there from the city center, and when we arrived, there was a welcome snack waiting for us along with Fernando and Jesus, who saluted each one of us and made us feel at home. The 'matte' and the 'tortas fritas' were delicious! After that, we got to horseback ride in the Patagonian steppe for 1h30 and we had a great time admiring the landscape, hearing stories about condors, pumas, deers and other animals that could be found there. We took beautiful pictures. None of us knew how to ride horses but despite that, we felt safe all the way. When we got back, a large dinner table was set and they were preparing the real argentinian 'parrilla' in a fireplace ('chorizo', 'ojo de bife' and 'pollo'). We had a great time eating, drinking wine and getting to know the staff who was showing such a great hospitality. Their salad was also the best!
I highly recommend this attraction to anyone going to Bariloche.

Hint: You will have to take a dirt road to get there, so my advise to you is: don't stuff yourself before going there.

Absolutely fantastic day, My wife and I enjoyed it immensely. The scenery is beautiful and the horses are calm and friendly. The hospitality shown by the gauchos and the manager was wonderful as was the food. The kitchen provided a vegetarian meal for me which was much appreciated. Seeing a Cóndor was fortunate and a massive highlight. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
