We enjoyed a 27 km ride along the circle - be careful sharing the road with the cars but it allows you a good opportunity to check out the most scenic vistas on your own time. Rent for bike was 150 pesos per day. You can easily use bus 20 to get there to the rental place from Bariloche center. Gorgeous outlook onto several lakes and nice woods to travel thru.

If you travel from Bariloche, we recommend that you drive in an anti clockwise direction. This will leave you with a good road at the end of the day when you will be tired.
The natural beauty is just stunning!

Riding around this circuit was a very pleasant way to see the area, with the bright yellow flowers blooming the only problem I encountered was deciding when to stop, for yet another photo. When at the top don't forget to pay a visit to the Panamericano Cafe or the boutique brewery nearby!

The views are incredible! There are so many vistas to take in, small hikes to do and picnic areas to visit you won’t believe there is so much beauty in one place in the world. The landscapes are super varied so that you will get to see everything Bariloche has to offer on this long and winding drive some of which is dirt roads. The Mirador of Lake Traful is a highlight as well as taking the small detour of 6 kilometers to see the red sandstone grandeur of the Cerro Cuyin Manzano. Allow a full day for the Circuito Grande so you have plenty of time to make all the stops you want along the way.

Some people do this circuit on the car or by bike. My review is for organized tour on the minibus.
Pickup from hotel in Bariloche.
We entered Nahuel Huapi national park.
Lima River valley, Valle Encantado with magic rock forms. Traful river and lake views.
Correnoso lake views.
Many views are great. In the Valle Encantado we couldn't do photos as driver stops only in predefined points.
Rain influenced program and impression, but I felt we had too much driving to see a little.
In Villa La Angostura we had too much time. People (and us at the end) had a lunch.
The guide Joaquin was very knowledgeable and this added a lot.
But still it doesn't worth a full day spent.

It's quite a long drive (about 250km from Bariloche) but you just go at your own pace and chill taking it all in and stopping whenever you want. I did the driving and believe me, it is well worth it. The only slight hesitation is the non-national road to Traful but after a few minutes of adjusting to what is little more than a dusty dirt track, you are fine. Angostura is a reasonably sized town and we headed for the beach adjacent to the Arrayanes walk. Lovely beach to picnic on taking in the great views. I started the day wondering if this was going to be worth it / why is it rated so highly on Trip Advisor and ended the day in total agreement; great day out with unbelievable scenery!

There are some incredible vistas on this trek, so bring a camera. The ride up the ski lift is a must, but they charge you extra. If they were smart, they would include it in the total price. If you don't do it, you have to sit in the bus for an in the parking lot while everyone does the ski lift. The last stop is a joke. It's at a shop that sells lotions and makeup from rose hips. What a waste of time. We took the trip to see the sites, not be told how to stay forever young with rosehips.

The views, the people, the trails, the ability to get out and take a dip in the stream, etc... you name it!! Only comparison is to Lake Tahoe in the summertime..
The local beers here are unreal and I'm not a huge beer drinker, but highly recommend some of the local flavors. Patagonia brewery is located here as well as Diuka beer, another local beer that is recommended. Make sure your camera and or phone has room because the views are sick! A must drive!!

Breathtaking views, worth the sometimes difficult uphill passages for unexperienced bikers. There are also some nice off-track hiking passages, which lead to viewpoints or down to the lake. Along the way, there are many possibilities for food, which are however not that cheap.
