We did a boat tour. We only had 30 minutes to enjoy the island. Felt it was a waste of time. There is no way that Disney came up with Bambi here. I am sure he visited the cabin though

Nice spot to take a rest

Here you can stay quiet and calm in a very special atmosphere. The arrayanes around let fill you like in the land of the hobbits or you expect a witch come out the little house!

We enjoyed this quaint cabin after our tour of the Arranyanes forest. The atmosphere is cozy and the food wonderful!

tourist trap
Dec 2017 • Couples
It is a regular cabin, with an overpriced cafe inside. The place has nothing to do with Walt Disney or Bambi other than a few rumours that are being exploited to attract gullible tourists. The surrounding arrayanes forest was achieved by cutting off other tree species in the time when the island was owned by a rich family. Now that it went back into the Argentine government's possession, they've been repopulating it with other trees, and I would say most of the arrayanes are dead and grey. It's lost its earlier time splendor for sure, and whatever started the Walt Disney rumours.

Was there today and didn't know what I was seeing

Now that I'm reading the reviews, I understand that Disney had a connection to the Cabin we saw, but I had no idea.
In general, if you don't speak Spanish, and you don't do a lot of research before, you have no idea what you are seeing.
We had planned to walk the 12 km, not realizing it was a difficult uphill walk. So we took the boat round trip with an hour to walk around. Fortunately, we met some lovely young men who explained about the trees - that are usually only bushes and that they are cold and that the tree trunk's texture is changing due to the climate. The boat captain was sweet but spoke no English . Glad we went but would have liked to know what I'm seeing.

Be part of a fairy tale

The Bosque de Arrayanes is one of a kind in the world, this kind of three is almost extinct. In Argentina is protected by the Arrayanes National Park and here you will find a unique concentration of these trees. It is said that in this place when touring South America, Disney imagined "Bambi".
