Absolutely great trip with Bariloche Fly Fishing. Everything went without a hitch for my 12 year old son and I. Guide (Juan Cruse) was professional, competent and right on time picking us up. He was knowledgeable and helpful working hard to get the best from our different skill levels. Beautiful river, terrific lunch, and several good fish. We had a great day!

We did a half day trip with Mauro, and had the best experience. My husband is very experienced (and I am much less so), but he did a great job guiding him to the right location, but also had incredible patience with me in teaching me how to cast, tying the lines, etc. and we both caught a bunch of fish! He had water & beers for us (a very welcome treat), and the gear was very high quality. Overall, we HIGHLY recommend this if you are considering a fly fishing trip in Patagonia. My husband (who has done plenty of fishing in his life) said this was one of his best days ever on the water! Totally worth it!!

Huauuu what a great pleasure to ready your post and such a high rate from your husband which is an experienced angler!!! I’m glad to know that our guides were patient and teach you on your first step of this incredible activity. Again thanks and hope to have you down here and experience our Camping Trips in Isolated places inside the National Park!

This was one of the most extraordinary trout float trips of my life and the head guide at Bariloche made it super enjoyable. First they are super knowledgeable. Second they are fun.Third they spoke perfect English. And fourth the fish are beautiful and enormous.
The entire experience was amazing. The river.
The fishing. The ribeye steak he made me.
Cannot day enough great things about these guys. Best trout trip ever.

We had an amazing day fly fishing on the LImay river outside Bariloche, and it was hands-down one of the best day trips we had in our month-long trip. Whether you're a pro or a beginner, we'd HIGHLY recommend a trip with Bariloche Fly Fishing. The water is beautiful, the fishing is bountiful, and we felt incredibly relaxed after a day on the water. Must do!

This was my third trip for two days of fly fishing with Ariel and his troop of excellent guides. No matter if you are a beginner or expert, you will have a wonderful experience with this crew. The fishing is fantastic, the backdrop beautiful, they cook lunch for you on the side of the river. Fun for the whole family!!

We had an amazing two days on the water with Facundo. I highly recommend this outfitter, very professional guides, amazing lunches on the water and he got us into some HUGE fish! I hope we go back one day!!! Thank you Facundo and Martin!

We had a tremendous fishing experience in Bariloche. We fished the Limay River and just loved the total event. First, was the communication with Martin, the owner, by email. All questions were answered, in English, German, our guide, picked us up at our hotel and took us on a super drift down the Limay. Great waders and boots and super fly poles. To top it off, he cooked us a steak dinner on the side of the River, complete with wine. It just doesn't get any better than that. Well worth the cost. Very reasonable.

I have fished with guides in Alaska, Costa Rica, the Rockies, New Mexico, Florida and the East Coast. This was by far the most satisfying fishing experience I've had. Martin Ariel Freedman runs a first-class operation at reasonable rates. His guides are outstanding - experienced fly-fishing experts who combine helpful instruction with productive fishing. It is a testament to the quality of the operation that our two guides had been working 10 years for this outfitter. I learned more in the five days with Juan and Julian than I've learned in all my previous guided trips. The fishing was challenging - rain, wind, long casts with weighted lines - but the guides were patient and considerate, always tailoring their expectations to the client's skill level (which they improved). The overnight camping was comfortable and well-attended by a crew of guides and "cargo guides" who preceded us on the river, set up camp and had delicious dinners cooking when we arrived (leaving time for toddy hour first). When I caught my largest brown trout (21 inches), I think my guide was almost more excited than I was. He rejoiced at our success. We parted good friends with the guides and Martin Ariel, who were kind enough to join us for a traditional Argentinian grill-fired steak dinner our last night in Bariloche. As far away as Argentina is, this trip only whetted my appetite to return, next time with my wife, who would love the culture and friendliness of Patagonia (and likes to fish too). I also commend Martin Ariel for his pre-trip support. He communicated frequently by email, responded quickly to all my questions, suggested a good travel agent for services in Buenos Aires and delivered us from and to the airport in Bariloche.

I was picked up on time at my hotel by Juan, a very professional and personable guide. After assessing my skill level, we began fishing immediately, with very specific instruction for the best outcome. If he saw me doing something wrong, his correction was gentle, and specific, designed for success. He guided our time and techniques based on my wishes, and I was able to catch some fish. One doesn't always catch a trophy, and our day together was not a trophy day. Such is the nature of fishing, and I was grateful for the Patagonia experience that will stay with me for the rest of my days.

I spent 3 days on the Rio Limay with Bariloche Fly Fishing and it was a fantastic experience. Ariel was extremely helpful in setting up the trip, and his guides were punctual, professional, and enthusiastic about fishing. Ariel told me from the beginning that there weren't likely to be a lot of fish, but that there was a legitimate chance of a trophy brown, and I was able to get two of them. Hi guys , I am travelling to bariloche in September and I'm only staying a few days . Just wondering if I calories cast a line in the lake and if so what tackle or lures should I use ? I'm staying on a place on the water ? Will I be wasting my time taking fishing equipment or is it worth it ? Any help would be appreciated . Thank you

Hi. Well river fishing season is closed until November 1st but Moreno lake has nice fishing if the weather cooperate. If you come fishing with us for a half or full day trip we will include all necessary gear at no extra cost. Keep in touch.
