TREKKING TO THE WATERFALL OF THE GOBLINS !!!
Mar 2020
On my last vacation, I chose to take a big trip! So I chose to go south with my friend and do everything in our power. In Bariloche we made a visit to different places every day, we went to Playa Bonita, where we spent the afternoon looking at the lake because it was a little cold! Another day we did the city tour and toured everything that stood out in the area, the next day we went up a hill, the view was amazing !! the following was a tour of the 7 lakes and we ended up eating deer in san martin de los andes! each lake had a unique view! and finally we did trekking to finish the trip in the waterfall of the goblins !!! I would love to return as soon as possible! It was the best trip I did !!

Accesible and really nice nature spot.

After a short walk, you arrive to these tiny but charming falls. They are called the "Elf falls" and are located very close to the Park Ranger House in Lago Gutierrez.
It's also nice to combine them with a visit to the lake, or with a hike to Catedral Mountain.

Nice road, it's not the final, it's about the journey

The waterfall is fine, what is nice is the crossing, the road to the waterfall, the day we went we had many tourists and the problem is when they go with speakers or smoking, disturbing those who want to hear the waterfall and enjoy nature.
With small kids, it's easy to walk this road.

It’s worth the hike
Dec 2019 • Friends
Friends invited me to go see Duendes Falls. It’s a bit of a hike but worth it, to see the result of the melting glacier. When we went, it was quite a busy time, there were quite a few people there. It’s a nice place to sit and meditate.

Visit only if
Feb 2019 • Family
You have spare time or any of the travelers have limited mobility. The walk is super easy and the waterfall is nice but nothing really worth it. Still a good spot if you happen to be in the neighborhood or are on your way to refugio Frey but don’t go exclusively for it.

If you use the waterfall as the first stop and continue further on to the beach - then it is nice
Dec 2018 • Couples
The waterfall is nice but the longer walk to the Playa Muñoz is what you should be doing. In total about 12 km it leads you through a wood with very old and large trees , then through an area with more bushes (you can see there has been a fire and how nature claims the area back) . Finally you travel down to the lake level where you find a nice beach setting. The last bit leaves you with some effort on the way back, but we found all of the trip very rewarding. Lots of flowers you would not expect, like orchids, but you have to look for them.

A short and beautiful trek, don't miss it.
Mar 2018 • Family
This is a short trek that doesn't disappoint, the falls are very beautiful specially during spring when the snow melts and water rushes through it.
Not demanding at all and very entertaining for little kids as you walk to a forest of native vegetation. There are also biking trails you can take and a couple longer treks that can be taken if you are interested.

Nice but not worth the 2 km walk on the gravel road but if you go up to the Mirador then the trip is worth it

We thoroughly enjoyed it.

It is a nice, not very tiring walk through the living forest with streams coming down and the falls are human size and wonderful to see.

Short hike, very easy!!!
Sep 2017 • Business
Hello, this waterfall will change a lot depending on the time of the year and whether its rained recently . Its a short hike to get here, very close to the Gutierrez lake and the Villa los Coihues neighbourhood. I would highly recomend extending the hike uo to a Mirador(viewpoint) only an extra half hour up!! Beautifull views from up here!!!
