We made in September of 2024 this circuit with the agency experiences , we did in the morning , and is included the climbing in the bell clock and after it begins the Chico circuit. It was all perfect, very friendly Guide, punctuality .. everything ok ..
But this circuit can be done by car perfectly and you can include at the end a walk to the brewery Patagonia and a stop in the municipal park Llao Llao ( super easy track ) . So much so that then we rented a car in vivências and we again made this circuit but in our time and we discovered beautiful places that no excursion does. The car we rented was a Sandero for 4 days went off at 45,000 pesos per day with free km.
I will attach the map of the Chico circuit for those who want to take the ride with rental car.
We visit the chapel of St. Edward and the mosquito rose shop , which if you want to buy you will leave a kidney . We have the mosquito rose shop in Gramado and it's not that fortune as they charge in Bariloche.
Obs .. everything is very expensive in Bariloche , the tours , the food , not only in Bariloche but throughout Argentina . Look a lot before you go , the prices are the same as in Europe ... a meal for a couple doesn't go for less than R$300,00 , a simple empanada costs AR$2,200,00 , a 500 gram steak eye costs AR$35,000 ( from for 2 people ) without accompaniment at Tony's Parrila restaurant ( SAN martin ) . In the case meal for 2 people with soda around AR$ 45,000.
But in Buenos Aires it is more expensive. Search a lot before you go. Exchange rate at Western Union was AR$ 228.00 .

.....catches the worm (in high season).
A good place to start is the chairlift to Cerro Campanario - best to go at 9 a.m., because a short time later various buses arrive and the queue can be very, very long
(like mine). The second stop is the large car park at the Mirador de los
Navegantes: The surrounding area can be explored here, including the Lao Lao Hotel. Fans of well-kept properties with a great view of the lake can hike to the peninsula behind the hotel. Up to the high point, the Punto Panoramico, there are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy various
views, to hike or to chill at one of the lakes.
At midday, on the way back, I came across traffic that was worse than at Lake Garda in July/August. So I can't recommend the alternative of cycling at all.

Cenic views of the “Cerros” and local nature. Try to do it in the afternoon for clearer skies during winter season. We recommend renting a car to have more flexibility about the stops and time but in case you are not familiar with the area, there are several travel agencies that offer “Circuito Chico” with vans or buses.

We rode the circuit just days before Argentina went into lockdown, but after the nearby National Park was closed. Some of the steeper hills are very tough if (like me) you’re not used to mountainous climbs. However, the numerous viewpoints are breathtaking and the thrill of freewheeling down at (breakneck) speed more than made up for the climbs. The road surface was quite rough in parts, but as motorists are clearly used to cyclists weaving along in front of them, it was as safe as it gets.

We did this circuit in the morning with a very friendly and fun Turisur guide.
The strong point of the walk is Cerro Campanario. You go up on a chairlift that takes about 7 minutes to get to the top and costs $4,000 per person round trip as of September 2023.
At the top there are several viewpoints with impressive views to take many photos. There is also a confectionery and public toilets.
The rest of the excursion was to go to the Panoramic Point for a few minutes and pass by the Chapel of Saint Edward.
If you only have one free morning in Bariloche, this is a very nice walk to do. You can also go to Cerro Campanario by public transport if you want to spend less money. The tour lasts half a day and cost me $8,200 in September 2023, not including the climb to Cerro Campanario, which is paid for by whoever wants to climb at the time.

My husband and I biked a portion of Circuito Chico and while I have absolutely no complaints about the process of rental, the views or any of the stops along the way, I feel like I need to put it out there that this is a difficult path to bike. I consider myself in relatively good shape and most of the first part of this path is almost entirely uphill and it is STEEP. Please don't let that be a deterrent from seeing the circuit but just choose your mode of travel knowing that. I ended up having to walk my bike up some of the parts - which would have been challenging without a bike but much easier to just walk not having to push the bike with me! Definitely stop at Punto Panoramico and Patagonia for a beer!

Going back the other way was MUCH easier as it was a lot of downhill :)

Wonderful circuit
Circuito Chico as it is called is very beautiful and you can go by car and stop at sanderos (stops) along the way and enjoy the landscapes. If you're willing, it's worth doing the trails. Remembering that there are easy, medium, difficult and very difficult trails.
Some of them are closed in winter so it's a good idea to do some research. We ended up doing the trail that starts at lhao lhao park and went to the hidden lake.
Get ready for surreal landscapes of huge pine/coniferous forests and lakes with crystal clear water that reflect the snow-covered hills. Beautiful and makes postcard photos.

Unmissable tour! I did the circuit and the views are spectacular. Without a doubt, anyone who comes to Bariloche needs to see these views. At one point, we went up on the cable car, which cost 8 thousand pesos. I wanted to bring the whole family to see it! ❤️

The place has no cons, it is beautiful!!!
Waterfalls, trails, lakes, jungle, forests, rivers, ancient trees...
Excellent place to stop and do various lake excursions from there, for example because you are close to Puerto Pañuelo and López.
Accommodation in general is expensive, there are many beautiful cabins.
There are also economic options such as inns. I was in two and in general they are clean, warm, quiet, picturesque due to their age but with some details that if you like luxury, you will not find it there.
The attention was very good too!!
I was at Hostería Las Cartas and Valle del Sol.
I went to Colonia Switzerland, it's just to go to lunch and take a walk.
I imagined it would be much more surprising.
I passed by the panoramic point a thousand times and would continue to pass by every day of my life.
I love Bariloche.
Let's take care of nature, let's collect the trash please.
Wherever I went in such natural places I found garbage. They are national parks and they are neglected by us!!!
I picked up trash that wasn't mine everywhere.
Let's be aware please!!!
And let's not feed the wildlife!!!!

It is a very good tour to begin to explore the Bariloche area. Since it take about 4 hours and you can choose the morning or evening to do it, is good for a day when you do not have all the time free. Much better if it is a sunny day or the half day chosen. We enjoyed. It has to be taken in mind that inside the tour there is another tour, that is very recommendable to do, that is not included and you should pay extra for it, but it deserves. Cerro Campanario views are wonderful.
