Lake Moreno is one of the lakes to visit if you are in Bariloche. It has two beaches, one called windless and the other windy, divided by a strait that joins both parts and where there is a bridge that crosses it, making this path part of what is called small circuit. We went to the windless beach before crossing the bridge on the way to Colonia Switzerland. You park on the side of the road and you have to go down a path to the beach that is mustard and depends on the flow of the lake. The views are spectacular with snow-capped hills and you can swim if you are used to cold water. There is a small place that sells soft drinks and something to eat but I recommend that you take something and mate to spend a nice afternoon, there are usually quite a few people but walking around you can always find a little place to stay. I recommend it as a walk.

Lake Moreno is a lake of glacial origin that has several beaches. On this occasion we arrived doing the trail from the Llao Llao Municipal Park. A few years ago we saw it from Colonia Switzerland, which also rises on its coasts. Two different landscapes, since that time it was all snowy.

Lago Moreno is a pretty blue green lake named for Francisco Moreno, the founder of the Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi. The distinctive color was caused by ash from a 2011 volcano eruption in Chile (the volcano is 40 miles away). The ash fallout was so extensive that the Briloche airport was closed for 7 months.

Can imagine? If the top top of the hills are charming, I recomend you to dive under Moreno Lake. Its an outstanding wonder of nature. The sublake forest is the best thing. Roots fishes stones rocks and all the magic deep colours. Ardilla Buceo I recommend is the best
