The Messidor is delightful to visit, even if you can't step out of the car and see the inside of the palace. The view is amazing and the gardens beautiful. Built by one of the Patagonia's most famous architects, the palace is a gem.
You are not allowed to stop at the premises of this house. But if you are going to the harbor or to the restaurant "del Puerto" it only takes a moment to swing in, admire the castle-like mansion and swing out again.

If you are in a car this is a nice little detour to do before taking a walk in the harbor. You are not allowed to stop for security reasons, but the house is lovely to view. The house is one of the governor's residences.
