Beautiful waterfalls
Oct 2015 • Family
This is a great hike that ends with a beautiful set of waterfalls. The beginning, as mentioned in other posts, you have to cross a small river- don't be fooled- the current can be strong at times and there are many parts that are deep. We suggest you cross towards the left of the sign where the gravel is. The water is very cold and the rocks are slippery. We used our sneakers to cross and switched to our hiking boots when we got to gravel near the waterfall- we hiked most of it barefoot, so as you can imagine the terrain is very easy, mainly sand. The water can get up to your thighs. It is not impossible- my husband crossed the river with our 18month old son on his back with the baby carrier. The rest of the hike is easy. When you get to the gravel area you are very close to the waterfall. We had lunch once we got to the waterfall. We did not go farther, we heard you can go farther and see more waterfalls. We really enjoyed this hike and you can easily miss it when driving because there are no signs for it on the road, so keep your eyes out for a small parking lot and the post sign of the name of it.
