I really loved this place near San Martin de los Andes, just about 20 km from the town, you can go by car or boat . the beach is great, with trees nearby so you can enjoy sun and also some shadow. If you like to do some exercise there is kayak and canoes rental. There is a restaurant to have lunch or some snacks.

I felt like if I was in a motion picture! The landscape of the forest of the Andes is amazing!. The beach on the Lake Lacar has clear water. Great and paceful place to have a good time with friends and family

They didn't mention it at the tourist info but if you are foreigner you have to pay ARS 65 per person to go to this little lake beach... And 10 more to see the little waterfall... And because you just did 15km of dirt road, you pay... To see almost nothing. It looks like hundreds of other beaches in the area, beautiful but nothing special. Don't worth the price.

We took a boat from San Martin de los Andes to Quila Quina, and honestly it was just OK
Views from the boat were wonderful, and even if the boat itself was old the ride was enjoyable. We arrived to a nice wooden deck and then proceed to explore the beach and surrounding areas (it took us 15 minutes really)
Then we had lunch at a basic cafeteria with the worst service ever, and after a terrible meal we were looking forward to come back to town.
If this is the first time you are visiting a lake in Patagonia, give it a go. Otherwise, do something else with your time

A 40 minute ferry brings us to playa Quila Quina. The ferry does not sail every hour, you have to inquire at the office in the harbour of San Martin de los Andes. The boattrip itself is the best part of our visit, the beach is not very interesting. If you want to walk a kilometre to see the waterfall, mind that there is an entrance fee to see it....

The location is ok. Please note you have to pay to access the beach. The beach was rocks and not what I was expecting. I would not go back considering the drive and having to pay to access the beach and waterfall.

Very long drive only to get to the other side of the same (beautiful!) lake.
And it costs money... I would just go to any other part of the lake :)

Nice quick boat trip. Especially the view on the massive rock right east of the beach is fascinating due to the rocks structural formation. However nothing to exciting. The beach offers refreshments which are alright.

near the town of San Martin de los Andes there is a beach called Quila Quina which is a National Park.
It not accessible without car. the ride is on dirt road on mountain side.
take about 30 min to get there.
The site is nice and the views are beautiful.
I wouldn't go there again...as it is not that different from other sites around the lake Lacar
