wonderful place! After an hour of trekking in the middle of the forest, we discover the Chachin falls, is peaceful place to contemplate!

The waterfall is an attractive feature in this area and is reasonably easily accessible from the car park. Getting there and back from San Martin de los Andes requires the best part of a day as the drive involves over 50 Km each way on unpaved roads which at safe driving speeds takes over two hours. There is a lovely picnic spot by Lake Lacar about half way there.

This was truly an amazing visit, the area of Yuco was beautiful. The path to go to the Cha Chin cascade was very peaceful and the view itself of the cascade, impressive. In our way back to San Martin, a wonderful snowfall surprised us! Thanks God our driver was extremely good and brought us back sound and safe. In regards to this last point I want just to mention that if you decide to drive by yourself, you must be trained in driving under winter / bad weather conditions, in a rough road. Otherwise, visit the place with one of the local tourist agencies, that have appropriate vehicles and trained drivers. The visit is truly worthy!

The waterfall is beautiful along the way, the bad thing is that they robbed us when we left the truck locked and when we returned we realized that we were missing the money from our backpack! They open your vehicle and you don't realize it, they leave everything tidy! They are people from right there who know the movement! Great care!

I went with the Araucaria transport to Hua Hum and from there it was a fairly long walk. I took selfies of the very small waterfall and I honestly don't know how to appreciate it. I recommend going by car and visiting more places.

We drove our car from San Martin de los Andes to Hua Hum and then walked to this fall. The place is great and beautiful, but you can go too close, the view deck is rather away from the cascade, because is a dangerous fall. Most interesting is the walk to the cascade. Trees, birds, flowers... just walk around, don't hurry, and enjoy.

It takes at least an hour by car from San Martin along a gravel road to reach the car park for the Falls. The last few kilometers are single track and steep in places. Only an occasional sign reassured us we were going the right way. I was pleased we had a 4x4 vehicle but noted that others in the car park had got there in ordinary cars without problem. After parking there is another 15-20 min walk to the falls. It is uphill most of the way but not too hard for those of us who are a bit unfit! There is a wooden platform that allows you to take photos and sit and watch for a while. Mid morning in November we were the only people there. Note that the cafe and toilets were not open at that time.

Hola!
