Punta Norte is one of the three viewpoints (Caleta Valdes, Punta Norte, Punta Cantor) on the eastern aspect of Peninsula Valdes that are included as part of a standard tour. It's the furtherest North. There is a small car park and from there a pathway leads to a viewing area which sits around 200m up from the beach. The most common animal is the elephant seals which lie on the beach. There is an occasional sea lion mixed in. Apparently you can spot Orca pods offshore if you are lucky.
After a long drive and a fairly expensive admission ticket to the Peninsula (260AR) I was surprised to find such a small selection of animals (maybe a dozen). In addition viewing them from such a distance was fairly underwhelming. I did a number of tours while in Puerto Madryn including Punta Ninfas and Punta Tombo and these afforded the ability to view these same animals in much larger numbers closer up.

Special place with a rare opportunity to see orcas in the wild. However, the ranger at this place is crazy & violent. He was physically violent with me and gave me a flat tire.
