that park is MUCH larger than the central park of NY, may be of any other. Drivable, lots of restaurants, cafe, amazing trees, plants,
I never saw one similar to this.

When you collect one of this City Maps and see the huge Grern space it occupies versus the layout of the city Streets, you note its huge dimension. We walked only a small portion of it , that being across the street from our hotel. A beautiful collection of trees and footpaths..saw no concrete or tile paths, and rather surprising very few bench on which to sit. Here families toss down a blanket and set there on. A small street passes through one section and there is also a motorized model of a train..great for young children and families to ride.

Originally planned to be 380 hectares, it’s actual size is 190 size, this large park is also a historic site. Lands for its construction were reclaimed by the government for this purpose around 1890. They were low laying swamp lands known to be malaria-transmitting, mosquito infested. The works took nearly 50 years to complete. Now it’s a beautiful and very popular family and touristic destination.

Local central park, it was designed by world-acclaimed designer Charles Thais to celebrate the first centennial of Argentine Independence. There are plenty of attractions like the rose garden, designed by local artist Iramain; the flower clock, right in the restaurant area on central avenue; and on Avenida Soldati, there is a walking area which has recently been refurbished and which is opposite the main hotels. This area is permanently bustling with runners and locals who sit there particularly in the early morning to have some "mate" under the shade of autoctonous trees...

A great park to take a nice walk when you feel like having a relaxing afternoon. We saw the Easter performance the night before Good Friday and it was a wonderful community event. The park itself felt very safe - lots of families around.

A varied list of scenery, plants, gardens, water treatments, etc. Fairly well maintained in this era of cutbacks in metro budgets in Argentina but worth a quick drive (or walk through) when in Tucuman.

If you like to go for a run, this is the place 100 acres of park from the beginning of the 1900's . Safe, spacious and full of people running on a Saturday afternoon.

This is the place to be if you want a review of late 19th century and 20th century Tucumán architecture. All packed on the four sides of the plaza.

Lamento no poder ayudarte mucho. Vi las vías que recorren gran parte del parque pero no vi el tren funcionando. Tampoco gente en el lugar que se supone que es la salida. Creo que no funciona.
