Was very lame

There was a flee market when I went, but I was expecting something more. It was dull. The street’s supposed to have restaurants with Peña but there were not much offering Peña and some of the restaurants don’t have singers available.

Pedestrian road
Mar 2019 • Couples
It’s a nice pedestrian road off the main market square to enjoy a leisurely stroll at all times of the day. Try one of the panchos (hot dogs) on your way! It seems to be the staple food with locals and tourists alike.

Nice street

There small shops to buy handcraft gifts. Shops were not duplicate the other ones. Shops open on Sundays and open until 10pm. There were restaurants and pubs around. Some of the pubs visited and were not good. For dinner, Adelina is recommended.

Best People Watching
Mar 2018 • Couples
You want a gadget to slice potatoes or a new phone case or inexpensive baby clothes or popcorn made right there? Take a walk down Balcarce Street. It seemed like every day/ night was a street fair with so many inexpensive things to buy. While we only bought snacks, the people watching is terrific.

Can´t pass through Salta and not go to one of the many restaurant´s that are there to enjoy the fabulous regional food and lively music. Was lucky to be there for Carnaval!

Street is ok, restaurants that provide Peñas are on here
Nov 2017 • Couples
The street itself is nice, not spectacular, but this is THE place to find a nice restaurant that provides authentic Peñas. The latter is an absolute must do when visiting Salta.

Absolutely a must do!
Oct 2017 • Solo
I visited a few Peñas while in town, mostly on this block. It's just so much fun here. All the people are smiles, the music is beautiful and so sm alive and the food served is incredible. It's a little touristy in the early evening, but mostly locals around 10-12am. Enjoy!!

Restaurant area
Apr 2017 • Friends
Very close to our hotel it was the obvious place to look for our evening meal. On a Monday not all the restaurants bother to open but there is still plenty of chioce. Much pestering from the touts.

Slightly disappointed
Apr 2017 • Couples
We visited the street on a Monday evening but quite a few of the bars and restaurant were closed and the ones that were open were pestering for business. Some of the bars and restaurants had traditional dancing but with hardly anyone inside and the lack of atmosphere we decided to give it a miss. Maybe it is more lively on the weekend.

Lively street
Mar 2017 • Couples
This street is great fun to walk through especially on a Friday or Saturday afternoon/evening.

There are loads of shops, street vendors and interesting characters to look at.
