Beautiful inside and out.
Dec 2019
A beautiful and colorful church on the outside. Well-preserved. Don't miss it at dusk/night when it is lit up. Inside, arched beams and ceilings, and a dome, are ornately decorated and painted. Small sculptures and golden leaf decor adorn the pillars and moldings.

This church is farther from the main center, about a 20 minute walk. It's open in the evenings after 5pm till about 7pm. Check it out. It's worth it.

The outside of the church is fantastic and a 'must se'e building. Sadly we were not able to go inside because it is not always open in the afternoons

Amazing Church!

This church is simply spectacular and is one of the best one I've seen in South America.

The architecture is remarkable inside and out.

Nice old church
Dec 2016 • Family
Nice old church, painted with very vivid colors, and very well preserved. While it is not in the center of the city, it is within walking distance that one can do on foot.

Wow springs to mind

Well worth the walk South of the main square. Quite unique, both outside and inside. A grab-bag of styles, all colourful.

Impressive church
Jan 2016 • Family
The cathedral is spectacular, just go and visit it, even if you are not in anyway religious. Take photos from the outside it is beautiful !

Then continue with a photographic tour of all of the churches in Salta, each one of them is amazingly decorated. and all fairly close to the central square.

Even my children were impressed by the architecture (aged 4-11)

Beautiful at night
Oct 2015 • Family
This church is stunning lit up at night. The inside has many attractive features as well, but the nighttime view is what sets it apart.

Beautiful Historical Landmark
Oct 2015
Unfortunately I was not able to get to see all of the inside as there was a service going on and I did not want to be rude. But what I did see of the inside is typical of these beautiful Catholic worship centers. Signs here and there of some deferred maintenance on the ceiling murals especially, but it must cost a fortune to maintain one of these structures so I can't say I blame them. The outside architecture is fantastic and the colors really jump out at you.

A beautiful Colonial building painted in bright native colors on the outside with tall ceilings in spacious interiors. Worth a look!
