About
The Museum paleoanthropological "Rincón de Atacama is born by the initiative of a group of partners and neighbors in the city in order to rescue, preserve and promote natural and cultural heritage department of Rio Hondo. It opened up back in July 1995 and since then has received numerous delegations of tourists and students from the region and neighboring regions.The museum has a multipurpose room and a mezzanine which displays the entomological collections, archaeological and paleontological, highlighting the latter two by the scientific value of the material collected. The sample of archeology has preceramic lithic period (4,000 BC) and numerous urns and vases of different cultures that developed in the Department Rio Hondo in prehispanic times. The sample specimens of paleontology has been nearly complete with well preserved animals (mainly quirquinchos and Glyptodonts) that inhabited the region for about 5 million years.One of the main objectives of the Municipal Museum 'Rincón de Atacama' and the community of Las Termas de Rio Hondo is that these assets remain in the region and may be a legacy for future generations.

Soy antropologa social y ver el material de este museo y la forma que fue recuperado me emociono. Merece ser expuesto en un lugar mas adecuado

Valorable trabajo de quienes colaboran con este pequeño y céntrico museo ubicado en un sector cedido por un teatro. Bien ambientado. Ojo con los comentarios anteriores!!. No es un museo de artesanías!!. No es una feria de indumentaria!! Vale la pena visitarlo y apoyar su gestión.

El museo Rincon de Atacama reune una interesante y variada coleccion de restos fosiles animales y botanicos de los ultimos 5 millones de años. Hay fosiles dee gliptodontes, mastodontes, megaterios etc. Tambien restos arqueologicos de las distintas culturas humanas que habitaron la region. Un pequeño sector tiene una rica muestra de insectos. Posee guias y exelente atencion. Imperdible. El museo necesita mas espacio y edificio propio, ya que lo comparte.

La feria que esta al pie de dique muy feo, mucha basura y venden comida en unas condiciones poco higiénicas.

un lugar pequeño en la pcia de santiago del estero ,argentina,que se destaca por sus aguas termales y curativas,cada hotel tiene su pileta termal para el mejor confort del viajero, donde previamente,un medico da las instrucciones y los beneficios para disfrutar de este agua termal,una excelente gastronomía,casino,cafés con show,y ferias de ropa y otros accesorios para comprar,el plato principal,chivito a las leñas,lo que mas me gustó,las calles con subidas y bajadas,típico del norte,y repletas de negocios regionales,vale la pena conocer este paraiso de invierno.

Me costó mucho ubicarlo, no esta bien señalizado, y pocos habitantes lo conocen.Me sorprendió encontrar resto de mastodontes y la cerámica antigua es de destacar.Muy amables las pocas personas que trabajan allí, pero se recibe buena información. Ya faltaba poco para el cierre, si vuelvo a terma lo visito con más tiempo.Es pequeño pero hay buen material.

edificio chico, interior conservado, un buen paseopara tomar contacto con la antigua forma de vida de la zona, bien explicado, sucederán imágenes de antiguos pobladores, sus herramientas, sus costumbres, se aprenderá sobre la historia, el porque de la existencia de las termas
