Nice walk to spend 30mins, but don't forget to consider there is a 25min car drive from and to Tilcara.

One of the nicest trek I had in a long time, the place is amazing, followed the river into a final cascade. Not difficult at all !!!!

Straightforward path with a height gain of around 1,000 feet. You have to go down to the ravine for the waterfall, after paying 15 pesos. Great views. Best to do in the morning before the wind gets up. Note we are veteran walkers.

The waterfall itself is nothing spectacular, so don't get too excited. The scenery en route, however, is tremendous. You'll also probably hardly see another soul when you do the walk, so it's very peaceful. This walk alone makes a visit to Tilcara worth it. Just...More
