El volcàn Incahuasi se encuentra en el oeste de la provincia de Catamarca, en el departamento Tinogasta, formando parte de la Ruta de los Seismiles, un sector de la Cordillera de los Andes donde se levantan 19 volcanes que superan los seis mil metros de altura. A mitad de camino de la Ruta Nacional 60, a la altura del Paraje Cortaderas, ya se puede divisar este volcàn de 6.640 metros. Incahuasi en lengua quechua significa casa del Inca y lo admiramos en pleno, desde el puesto de control fronterizo Las Grutas y desde el Paso San Francisco, imponente allì, junto al Volcàn San Francisco, casi al lìmite con Chile. En una expediciòn a su cima se encontrò un santuario inca con una estatuilla de plata, que hoy se exhibe en el Banco Nación de San Fernando de Catamarca, y de la que existe una rèplica en el Museo del Hombre en Fiambalá. Interesante Hallazgo!

Uno de los tantos volcanes que se pueden ver en el recorrido de la ruta de los seismiles. Se puede ver luego de pasar el complejo Cortaderas de la mano izquierda, reconocible por su cumbre nevada, se eleva entre los demás cerros. Una vista increíble.

El volcán está en la ruta de los 6 miles. Puede verse pasando cortaderas a 100KM de fiambala y luego desde el paso de san francisco, La belleza es incansable.

En la ruta de los seismiles partiendo de Fiambala hacia la frontera, se puede divisar este volcan que esta perfectamente señalizado, es una atraccion espectacular por lo imponente de la montaña, esta ruta es ideal para hacerla tranquilo y admirar los volcanes mas altos del mundo con sus 6638 metros de altura se difenrecia del resto de las montañas, por estos volcanes de mas de 6000 metros se llama la ruta de los seismiles

Hermoso volcan para los amantes del trekking de alta montaña, deben aclimatar dias previos, para hacer con una expedicion y guias habilitados sino la van a pasar muyyyyyy mal. Pero es digno de un buen 6000!!!
