Upon arrival at the swap meet with my host, I couldn't believe the size of the place. I have been to large swap meets before and enjoy them but this one is over the top. Most of it is all under 4 separate roofed buildings. No need to worry about the hot sun or rain.
It has nice wide paved aisles which makes it easy to walk through despite the hoards of people going in all directions. There are intersections just like streets and it's easy to get "lost" there.
It was so much fun. We spent about 3 hours there and didn't see every lane and alley but, to be honest, after a while I did begin to notice many duplicate stalls but we forged on because we were afraid we would miss something.
Anyway, I came back with a few treasures: among them was a throw blanket for a sofa in my den and several kitchen gadgets that I was never able to replace because I couldn't find anywhere to buy them.

This place has everything !! Next time I'm down in Mesa the swap meet will be first on my list and I'll bring an empty carry on bag for when I fly home .

When you pull into the parking lot, one is surprised by the sheer size of it. We went unsure of what to expect. This mass of tents contained various vendors offering trinkets to golf carts, all kinds of outdoor patio decor, clothing for the whole family in different taste and styles, sunglasses to car seatcovers. The list goes on and on. It has concession stand with food and drinks at reasonable prices. There is a stage that offers live entertainment. Prices vary from pennies to Hundreds of dollars with some of the vendors willing to negotiate prices. Wear good footwear as you willbe doing a lot of walking to see all that is offered.

Mesa market
I loved, loved, loved this market. Everyone that worked there were so pleasant. You don’t find that often anymore.

People want to get out, people want to live, and to be able to support their families. This market is only open on the weekend but, I think it was worth the drive and I loved the things that I purchased. Someday when I buy a house I know the places I will be going back to purchase items, and this is one of those places.
I WOULD highly recommend!

Tons and tons of dealers. I believe 1500+, which is too many to see in one day. We went around 10 A.M. on a Friday, and the crowd was, well, it was crowded. Lots of Arizona/Desert stuff, lots of t-shirts, and everything else you'd expect. Virtually no "antiques." I can only imagine what Saturdays and Sundays are like. And, lucky us, one dealer told us that March was their busiest monthe, and that's when we were there.

Their website states, "we're all about recreational shopping." I didn't know that shopping was recreational.

There's a very wide variety of things to look at and buy, expect a lot of walking! I didn't get much but it was fun to check out. There's a few cool stalls that sell a variety of rare stones that I liked. Just make sure not to fall trap to fake medicines or healings there. There was a few places that looked science-y that really weren't. Also rocks are cool, but they're just rocks, sorry to say they won't heal you

I also recommend going earlier in the day before it gets crowded

Pretty large place. Numerous items to purchase. You'll find higher the normal prices for most items. Living less than 10 mins away, I visit with my family and we mostly go there to enjoy the crowds, site-see and get some exercise. It is seldom we purchase anything.

Had an afternoon to kill so stumbled on to this swap meet. I'm not a fan at all of the swap meets that have every piece of garbage someone is trying to get rid of, they are a waste of time but this one looked different and it was for sure. All the booths were very professional and had quality stuff at great prices. The place was very large and well organized. It has a couple snack bars that sell food, pop and beer and the center even has some live music. This was a great trip and I will be back again.

So many stalls! Although there were many empty ones, there was a lot of selection for items. It seemed that if you couldn't find it here, you didn't need it. It really reminded me of the markets in Asia as well, but with some variety to cater to the local clientele. Definitely something for everyone here.

In town with my parents and it was the only thing on their 'must see' list and it didn't disappoint. My dad was pushed around in a wheelchair and easily was able to get into store areas and see, touch and feel everything he wanted. We spent a couple hours wandering the stalls that were open (October) and only a few of the shops had 'repeat' type items so plenty of variety. Bring cash, or find the ATMs, for an additional discount in some shops. We got there early and it wasn't too crowded or hot this time of year.

It seems like the tents surrounding the vendors go for miles in every direction. Everything imaginable is for sale here from hand made licorice and jewelry to locally crafted iron patio and porch furniture with ceramic inlays. Throw in live music, food and a festive atmosphere and this place has to be seen to be believed. Don't miss it.
