The IDEA museum for us seemed to be more of an craft building/play center than a 'museum', with the ideal age between 2 and 7. The museum is split into two areas, one for ages 4 and under the other for all ages, but more...More

We could have easily spent 5-6 hours just playing and creating here - the only reason for the less than "average" rating is due to an immediate need for them to address some safety issues, proper storage of banquet tables and lack of professionalism shown...More

Fun activities, creativity outlets, lots of learning and a place for 4's and under in their socks! What more could a toddler want? It starts with giant musical instruments outside along the sidewalk to the entrance. And the fun only gets better from there!

Drove into Phoenix from California and this was the first place we took the kids. We had 2 families with 4 young ones with lots of energy (from a long car ride). Though they closed one of their main exhibit areas (I think that would...More

Especially during hot Arizona summer days, this is a wonderful place for young children. There is a room where they can climb and build with padded geometrical "pillows". Both my 8 yo granddaughter and my cousin's 2 yo grandson loved being able to climb, build...More

This is a great museum to bring little children who enjoys pretend play and a lot of crafts! Most of the crafts are recycle items. For older children, they can volunteer in the museum and it's always fun for them to do! Oh, don't miss...More

We brought my 1 year old granddaughter here. First of all...I don't like that they charge $8 for a one year old. I did like the idea of their toddler area...they did have a lot for her to do...she had fun. The only thing I...More

If your grandchild is under the age of 3, I would not recommend it. I would check their website on costs as it has changed since I last visited.
