I'm going to start this off by saying I'm SURE this doesn't happen on a regular basis and I don't think they set out to rip me off, but they certainly didn't fix it either. So take this as a warning. My travel partner and...More
I went with some friends to the argentinian part and we were specially interested in doing the boat trip in the waterfalls.
Be aware with this company.
They have all kind of warnings about security and physical condition but all of it is an ilusion....More
The boat tour is awesome! We couldn’t go to the Brazil side because we are American and need a visa, but the boat tour will give the panoramic view you would otherwise miss. You also go IN the waterfall! It was so much fun and...More
The boat trip was one of the most incredible things i've ever done. truly stunning. you also take a little drive through the jungle and get to see some nice scenery. this tour is a must while visiting the area!
I did the grand adventure tour for 1500
Pesos. The boat trip was good fun even though it was pouring down with rain. Worth taking a go pro or adventure waterproof camera if you have one. The jungle tour was not informative- we didn’t see...More
We wanted to go on the boat ride because it takes you under the falls. We first began with a drive in a truck through the jungle (information provided in Spanish and English).
You then are given a waterproof bag and walk down some stairs...More
I booked in advance but it can be booked on site when there is availability. They take you on buses to the embarkment point wirh explanations about the jyngle in english and spanish. The boat ride is fun and a must-do. They give you dry...More
We took the Grand Adventure on our first day, it was an experience we won’t stop talking about! Extremely fun for all ages, great photo opportunity and 100% recommend an action type camera for going under the falls known as “the shower”. The second day...More
Iguazu Jungle is a ~2 hour experience and not to be missed if you’ve made it all the way to the Falls. You buy your tickets at the front gate after buying your park ticket and it is expensive - 1500 Pesos each (~$52USD) but...More
The boat ride is amazing but I would strongly recommend that English speakers take the same tour offered from the Brazil side. I speak English and Spanish and was shocked that the boat pilot on the Argentine side didn’t make important announcements in English. Theres...More

Our hotel had suggested that we only book the water portion of the tour (Aventura Nautica) much cheaper (the jungle ride is absolutely not worth it). I totally agree, but unfortunately we were told that that particular day the Aventura Nautica tour was not available due to a landslide and we could not embark on the boat from that location. Since we had no choice...being only there for that day, we bought the Gran Aventura i.e. full tour (after reading other reviews I feel it was a calm day and they were trying to make more money- as mentioned the full tour is more expensive). Having done the Gran Aventura tour I can attest that your time would be better served doing only Aventura Nautical i.e. the boat tour. You could use more time exploring the three different trails to view the falls from different vantage points. All really worth it- we did the three and each have something to offer. (no charge part of your entrance ticket)
The Gran Aventura costed1200 Argentinian pesos per person and the Aventura Nautical would have been 750 Argentinian pesos.
Hope this is helpful

No need to book anything in advance, people are spreading panic. Yes there will be ton of people there but you gonna be inside within 15 minutes. And ABSOLUTELY do the upper circuit. Actually do everything. You traveled across the planet to get there. I didn’t see anything there I would consider not worth seeing.

I bought them in the park - once you hit lunchtime there doesn't seem to be much of an issue with buying a ticket - I bought one and was on the boat 30 minutes later. I'd suggest doing the whole walkround in the morning and then doing the boat trip afterwards. You won't be hot after you've been soaked!!!!
How to book the boat to Iguazu Falls in Argentine side (1 Replies)
I want to get on the boat to Iguazu Falls managed by Iguazu Jungle in Argentine side. Is it possible to book the seats of the boat by internet in advance?

No way you book "seats", Even if you book a ticket, you lineup with everyone on the stairs going down to the small docks. and sit where they tell you on the benches. It depends on how busy they are as to how long you wait, but it could be an hour or more. We are talikng small speed boats with about 12 seats each. You and everything you bring will get soaking wet. This will be welcome, as youwill be as hot as hell. :) This applies to the boarding afterthe jungle tours at the separate docks,...More
Macuco Safari or Iguazu Jungle Explorer (4 Replies)
With a day to spend each on the Brazilian side and the Argentinian side, which of these tours is better? Thinking of doing the helicopter and walk on the Brazilian side and the boat tour on the Argentinian side. Advice?

Jess, sounds like a plan. Now if you are thinking boat ride beside Falls or the river ride? Both Boat rides are similar to the base of the falls, but the AR boat gets a little closer to the Devils throat. Take care and be sure to get the passport stamped entering back into Brazil at the border office. If leaving from BR you will need this to board.
June Trip Report - Puerto Iguazu (0 Replies)
From Buenos Aires, we headed to Puerto Iguazu. Before we left the states, I booked the airfare on LAN.com. We stayed at the Secret Garden Inn, and I cannot say enough good things about this place. We were picked up from the airport, and John gave us a mini-tour of the town. We enjoyed wonderful drinks in the evening and wonderful breakfasts in the morning. He also got us reservations at the restaurants. We enjoyed El Quincho, but we loved Aqva so much that we went there twice. Our next day...More
