My 2-night stay at Puerto IguazúARGENTINA was unexpectedly highlighted by visiting this historic marker of the boundary between three countries (Argentina/Paraguay/Brazil). It is also quite safe because this site is fluvial, with no bridges. Even better was how inexpensive getting to/from the site; upon recommendation from fantastic ELBA (tourist info center), I took local Rio Uruguay bus for 35 Argentine pesos (one way). It is a huge attraction for locals & foreigners alike; the area has been developed into an immense park with picnic tables, vendors selling food & artisan merchandise, very easy accessibility and just plain pleasantry throughout. It certainly gets my hearty “iWheel of Approval!”

Poor and abandoned, the “Argentinean side of the border” is a complete waste of time!
People are rude, they don’t give a s**t to tourism (appearently, the only source of money to that rubish) and serve as if they were making favors for us...
My wife and I went to Buenos Ayres in September 2019 and we simply fell in love with the city and its people; no words to describe how desapointed we’ve been with Puerto Iguazu.
Don’t waste your time!

I took a city tour around the city, so the stop at the landmark on the Argentine side was included in the tour. It is very different compared to the Brazilian side, as it is much simpler.
There are some stalls selling artisanal products and a (very beautiful) restaurant a little further down from the landmark.
I found a place that looked abandoned, apart from the bad smell of urine. What's worth it is the view of the Brazilian side, which is very beautiful.

Lively place in Puerto Iguazu with many souvenir stores and locals having an evening out. Wasn't a stunning sunset but still beautiful to see the Iguazu River and the PARANÁ River meet at the border of Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina. There is supposed to be a light show every night however we waited until 8.15 pm and when it didn't start we decided it was time to leave. Overall a nice spot in town for an evening stroll.

Great view where you stand in Argentina and overlook Paraguay to your left and Brazil to your right over the forked river. Interesting by day but at night the colored water fountains light up as well. Plenty of restaurants near by if you wish to see by day , eat, then by night.

A place to feel simultaneously in three nations. From Argentina you look at Paraguay and Brazil separated by the river. A unique emotion as well as being a must for those of us who have dedicated a few days to visit this town in northern Argentina and its wonderful waterfalls!

If you are in Puerto Iguazu close to sunset, be sure to go there. The view is beautiful, the place is free and has a very different feel to the Brazilian side, which is paid and theatrical. Here it's more contemplation, without rushing. There are some shops and stalls where you can buy drinks.
I loved going to see it and I recommend it.

Typical and unavoidable walk if you are in the city of waterfalls. Nice viewpoint with a view of the Three Borders, it is well maintained, you have a small fair and some gastronomic options, for the inevitable photos the Argentine landmark, the masts and the Iguazu sign. Mandatory visit in the city.

This is no more than a viewpoint over the confluence of the Paraná and Iguazu rivers. Nothing to see other than the rivers themselves and lots of trees on the Paraguay and Brazil riverbanks opposite. The Argentines have turned their area into a social space which is actually very pleasant for a stroll in the evenings when you get a cooling breeze from the rivers and there are shops to browse and food stalls. As a spectacle though, nothing special.

The spot is also known as the triple frontier park. Good spot to take photos of argentina, brazil and paraguay. Good spot to take photo of the intersection of 3 countries, a not very common occurence. Also, the spot also has Iguazu sign for using for background in photos. Worth a quick visit, walking here from town centre is a long walk
