Nice public art piece on the waterfront. Across the street from restaurants and bars. Sad to see the graffiti...

A very cool tribute to the men and women who fought for the independence of the country. Also has a nice view onto the Paraguay coastline

nice place for a walk or jogg in the river sidewalk, and nice views from Paraguay coastline. Nearby, plenty of restaurants. Whatch out with the prices.

The statue stands in a very nice place to walk and enjoy a summer evening. Furthermore, you can see it from a very near position, which makes the statue more impressive (it is just 15 meters tall, looks way more due to the lack of tall buildings around. So far as I know, its the only statue in South America to represent a native in such magnitude.

We were in Posadas in 2013 and this great addition to the riverfront was still in the planning stage. It is a wonderful statue of a Guaraní Indian, a great tribute to the indigenous people who have populated this region for thousands of years.

There's not much to see in Posadas and this Monumento is one of the very, very, very few "sightseeing" spots which you can visit. Don't expect too much. But it's okay to go there and to take a walk at the waterfront.

I wouldn't call it a sight by itself but since the Costanera is such an amazing place to stroll on this statue will certainly catch your attention.
The light for pictures is best close to sunset.

We have been in this place during the day. The place is very calm and quiet. The water around and the wind blowing in low speed makes it a calm and nice place to be. There's a lot of bars and restaurants around near the costanera street. Nice place to have a beer by the sunset.

We were surprised to find this work of art near the river. The river drive was beautiful, and the monument a pleasant find.
