Uspallata is one of those places that is hard to get your bearing as there is a crossroads of 5 separate roads ...each leading to a nice place. This info centre was most helpful in sorting that out. One girl spoke perfect Englis too.

We were looking for a trip up to Aconcagua but not and expensive all day, crammed in a van, tour. The gentleman nodded and gave us the information to use the local bus. We went up to the park, walked up to the viewing area, walked back to the entrance, and the bus returned on time. Cost us less than $10 round trip.

The people working here are great. They took time to advise us in detail and gave us a lot of helpful information about roads and nearby sites. A well designed little centre at the crossroads in Uspallata with easy parking nearby.

after a long 2 hours trip from Mendoza you could ak to this centro what to do at uspallata.
Not a big city but you'll enjoy the road. Then follow to Aconcagua and "christ redemptor" at the border with Chile (4.000 meters alt)
