Beautiful landscape in Jujuy, the hill of the 7 colors embraces the town of Purmamarca. A town that you cannot stop visiting, its streets full of artisans and its main square. The best time to observe the beauty of the hill with its colors in its maximum splendor is during the morning until 1:00 p.m., due to how it is located during the afternoon the sun focuses its light in front of you. The Cerro de Siete Colores can be observed from different viewpoints, which invite you to walk. One of them is the Geological Viewpoint.

Although the hill is imposing and dazzles with its beauty, it is not similar to that of northern Argentina. It loses some points due to the huge amount of rubbish on the way there (unfortunate) and the graffiti on the rocks made by misfits. There is also little signage to get to the place since there is obviously no cell phone signal. The views from the hill are incredible, I recommend going up yes or yes. And dataso: there is a path a km before where you can see the hill from behind that has magnificent views.

Uspullata is a scenic village, approximately 1 1/2 hour from Mendoza. From a pink mountain to green to white to brown colors. I went camera trigger happy- wherever I turned there was a wonderful view of Gods work! To view the 7 colors it's a drive approximately 10 kilm on dirt road - worth the drive.

You will not believe this place...... like Mars. There is actually a pink hill here. Many colors galore with a backdrop of the Andes.
One of THE highlights of the area. Easy can miss the sign by the roadside. Yes, you can walk to it to.

There really are (at least) 7 colors here. It's so interesting. Lots of places to walk without too much effort (good for kids and grandparents) and the braver of heart can head up to the top of the cerro.

We took winding road No.9 up the national park. Early morning walk to enjoy the fresh, moist air and greet fauna is refreshing. Even the dew drops at the tip of leaves are worth watching.
Having breakfast in the greenery forest is appetizing.

The 7 color mountain at Purmanrca is gorgeous and majestic from the distance. Thanks to mother nature.

There really are siete colores! Volcanic rocks have eroded and oxidised to create a wondrous pastel pallete of colours. This site is a short dirt road drive from Uspallata . There are short trails to vantage points . It is said to be at its best after dawn/before sunset.

We saw this striking jumble of triangular hills when we stopped at the colorful indigenous market town of Purmamarca on our way from Salta to Humahuaca. It was our first premonition of the famous Quebreda de Humahuaca, almost a piece that had broken off and now stands all by itself. It was easier to believe that it had been produced as a consequence of venal mining practices rather than by the natural processes of marine sedimentation, river and lake movements, and the shifting of tectonic plates over millennia of time. Yet another colorful feather in the cap of this wondrous and insufficiently known region of Northern Argentina.
