I booked 2 tours through El Cristo. First was a half day wine tour for 500 pesos which went to Bodega Lopez, Pasrai olive oil, and Bodegas Cavas de Don Arturo. Our guide on the bus spoke only Spanish but guides at the sites spoke English, i would give this tour 3 stars... I also booked the alta Montana tour for 850 pesos which had a great guide, and felt like an amazing value with all of the stops and being a full day adventure to Aconcagua - 5 stars. For those prices, I booked in person in their office in Mendoza and paid cash in pesos. The guides in the office were very helpful and spoke partial English but more than enough to make it easy for me. They have their own vans, picked me up at my hostel and guides were OK to amazing.…

A wonderful day of Andes tours with El Cristo. The ticket was relatively inexpensive and the mini bus was comfortable with great driving by Walther. Our tour guide was Gaston and he was an extremely well-informed guy who made every stage of the journey interesting. My high point in every sense was a chair lift ride (you pay for this extra) at Las Penitentes from which I had a fantastic vista of the whole countryside. The Andes are a terrific experience and one not to be missed. We had a bright day and that made a lot of difference but in every light the mountains change colour due to the oxides and other minerals in them. The old dilapidated railway track and road is also interesting but the Inca Bridge (Puentes los Incas) is a dazzling stopping point where Charles Darwin and others made a visit in their intellectual odyssey to understand the evolution of the planet. Another peak was the border (sort of) between Argentina and Chile with a statue of Jesus and many little shrines along the way. I thoroughly recommend this company and would go on another tour with them.…

The sights we saw would be impossible without the tour. The roads are far too dangerous and the driver totally takes the stress out of the safety concerns on the road. I really liked that component. The sights themselves were fantastic. However I simply would not recommend the tour to English speaking tourists. Like a lot of tours in the country, the tour is bilingual and the tour guide favours Spanish speakers. It's as simple as that. There were some other cons which I won't go into as the pros outweighed them. Just get ready for a typical tour bus experience. Also the bus spends 1 hour circling Mendoza collecting all passengers and another on return. This sucks if you're the first hotel as you need to go through it all twice: suggestion --> reverse order on the way back?…

To visit such a marvellous natural landscape is something that you cannot miss if you're visiting Mendoza! I strongly recommend "El Cristo" tours. They're professional and nice people. They pick you up at your hotel or place. Accesible prices.
