The choice of wineries Ampora Wine Tours chose to take us to were brilliantly curated - an excellent cross-section of the wineries Mendoza has to offer, ranging from neo-classical bodegas to contemporary glass houses of Malbecs. 24 different flavours of wine in may have intoxicated us, but it was the charm of our tour guide Sabrina and the exceptional knowledge... We had originally booked a private tour through our hotel, but I was feeling under the weather so we cancelled it. We ended up walking by the Ampora shop and, not really knowing what to expect, we booked a tour of the Luján de Cuyo Wine country for the next day. So glad we did! What a fun and memorable... More

Well-planned tour in the Uco Valley to 3 wineries showcasing different aspects of high-altitude viticulture and wine-making. Best of all was our guide Jose, who is extraordinarily knowledgeable about wines in Mendoza and beyond, and about Mendoza’s/Argentinia’s history. It was a long day, from 8:30 am to about 7:00 pm because of the distance to the Uco Valley, but it... More

We did a tour with Sabrina to Uco Valley. The first winery Dom Bousquet had average wines but a nice facility. The second stop was a highlight, a visit to Corazon Del Sol Winery part of the Wines complex (investment blocks). Carolina there was enthusiastic and the winery is very cool. The highlights of the wines were the GSM blend... More

Got picked up from hotel on time, consti, our guide spoke great English, was knowledgeable and knew when to give detailed explanations. They took us to: Domaine busquet: "medium" but really a big and very professional operation. That was probably the best Malbec we had. Then to a boutique winery: Giménez-riili. The owner gave us the tour and showed us some... More

The tour visited three small to medium sized wineries. 'Cossie', the tour guide was very knowledgeable but also at the wineries a staff member explained in detail how the wines are fermented. We gathered an excellent understanding of how water rights control the number of vineyards; what grape varieties are being tried (some with error!) and how the whole region... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Uno Valley with Sabrina on March 24, 2017. The tour included extended stops at three distinctly different wineries. We expected the staff at the wineries to be informative (and they were), but we were pleasantly surprised to learn that our Ampora guide - Sabrina - is also sommelier - who speaks excellent English... I had contacted Ampora about last-minute plans for tours but did not realize that my wife had also contacted another place--we went with the others, but I wanted to leave feedback for Ampora. Carla and Kai could not have been nicer or more professional--we even stopped by their place (we were walking by) and asked about a bike tour but... More

We had a great time on our tour of the Uco Valley Our guide was a great host and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the history of wine making in the region and about the new methods being used and the different styles. Would recommend this tour to everyone.

I thought it was expensive -- but ended up taking both tours offered (Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valley) and it was great. The buses came on time: exactly at 8:45 a.m. for us. There was plenty of water and snacks and food during the visits. The wines were properly explained and guests were entertained. The 5/6 courses late lunch... More
