Located within the San Martín park, the hill presents a monument to the Army of the Andes, as well as good views of the city of Mendoza. It has a convenient vehicular ascent path, differentiated from the descent path. It can also be accessed on foot from the base.

Beautiful views of the city. There is a light and sound show at night (find out days and times). Take into account the drop-off time if you are walking. There are buses that leave from Plaza Independencia and end at the hill.

We went to Cerro de la Gloria with my partner. We did it on foot although it can be accessed by car. It is a magical place, with incredible views. Personally, the father of the country awakens many things in me and the 360 view of the monument with all the history is magnificent. I highly recommend it.

I hired a car and driver to give me a multi hour tour of the city. Went at my preferred pace, saw what I wanted and not what I didn’t. This great park and monument is a destination for local runners and visitors

Beautiful park of historical significance. Good coffee and refreshments at the top of the hill. Some craft vendors as well. But the best is a rewarding views. I would recommend a stop there...take a taxi to get up there but walk down hill to appreciate the park.

Must do a city tour that includes Cerro da Gloria which is very big and beautiful. The monument is the high point and great time for a quick snack. The explanations of Juan our guide was perfect. I'll tell about him at a specific post.

Once you can reach the top of this Hill, you can enjoy beautiful views over Mendoza city and surroundings. Also you can visit the Gral. San Martin monument.

It's a steep walk up to the top but the view is totally worth it! Most importantly there's a little "cafe" at the top where you can buy small snacks, hot and cold drinks including I beer, which will go down lovely after the climb up.

If you are going to Uco Valley and you are visiting the wineries, this place would be a good suggestion, especially if you climb the tracks and go all the way to the third gazebo behind the statue.

If someone tells you to come here only because of the place... don't waste your time...

We took a taxi to the zoo and the hill of glory, after exploring the zoo climbed the hill and walked back to our center city location via the San Martin Park. The hill of glory is the national monument of the Army of the Andes and tells the story of the liberation of Argentina, Chile and Peru from Spain. The best it is to slowly climb the 100 meter hill using the designated path and taking your time to admire the panoramic views of Mendoza and the Andes. Juan Manual Ferrari from Uruguay was the sculptor who built this famous monument. The monument is very symbolic and adorned with the magnificent images depicting historical scenes. At the top of the monument there is a sculpture of Liberty. For people who absolutely cannot walk there is an option of going up the hill of glory in a car or by bus.The monument is magnificent and should be seen while in Mendoza.
