Thank you to all of the previous reviews for alerting me to this great opportunity in Mendoza! Without these reviews we would have missed this experience. It’s certainly not advertised and even our local B&B host ( a superb host by the way) wasn’t familiar with the Terraza Jardin Mirador as a tourism spot to refer her guests. She does now!
Don’t miss the Pinacoteca Sanmartiniana by Fidel Roig Matons in the adjacent building. As we entered to view the art we were approached by Azul offering to give us a guided tour. She was fantastic and so passionate about this history and the artist.

This nice place still seems to be a secret! It's just 2.5 blocks south of plaza España in the street Avenida 9 de julio within the higher building with the painted balconies. Check if the glass door in front of the building are open. Otherwise go downstairs 20meters in front of the building and enter it there and take the elevator!
The view is fantastic, especially when you can see the andes! Definitly a good spot, GO!!

Located on the 8th floor of the Edificio Municipal de la Ciudad de Mendoza (Town Hall), and only 6 blocks away from Paseo Sarmiento (central pedestrian mall), this lookout offers 360° views of the city of Mendoza as far as the eye can see. There are gardens planted with local flora as well as timber sculptures to delight the visitor. An appointed bilingual guide is there to answer visitors' questions. It opens Mon to Sat 9-12 and again in the evening 6pm - 9pm. On Thursdays, in summer, there are free concerts "Música y vino en las alturas". It's a great place to take in the view and get fantastic photos. To make it a half day visit, I would certainly recommend visiting the Pinacoteca Sanmartiniana Fidel Roig Matons located next door, at the Honorable Consejo Deliberante. It is advisable to do this visit before going on the "Alta montaña" all day tour, as you will recognise places and get a much clear view of San Martin's troops epic cross of the Andes. Entry is free and the bilingual guide is extremely passionate and knowledgeable. Well worth a visit. I enjoyed every minute of it.

It is a good way to see the city and the mountain covered in snow.
You can use the maps they have in each corner to spot the parks, buildings and places around the city, watching them from the very top.

This is a excellent place to take some great photos and see the views. Even though this is only 7 stories you still get fantastic views as there are no tall buildings in the way.
For a free activity this is great and it's located close to the main square so it's a easy walk.

The views from the City Hall roof were better than I was expecting. It was a clear day and you could see the Andes quite well. You enter and go to the elevators past reception and get off at the 7th floor. A lady will take you up to the roof as the door is kept locked. Well worth visiting if in Mendoza. I believe it closes at 1pm every day so to be sure go in the morning. It is free too.

There did not seem much of real interest to inspire in Mendoza so we went looking for this viewpoint in the hope of a great view. We found the building, and if you enter the main doors you will find the lifts / elevators at the back, just behind the reception desks. Take one of the lifts to the 7th floor. Hopefully, when you get out the lift, to climb the last flight of stairs, you won't be confronted with some boarding saying the roof is temporarily closed!! What a waste of time that was. Hope you have better luck.

I was unexpectedly surprised when we got off the elevator at the Mendoza City Hall rooftop. The gardens were lovely and the wooden structures very interesting, not to mention the views of the city. We spent a delightful hour taking in the views from all four directions.

The place itself is just a simple building (actually is the City Town Hall's rooftop). But the fantastic thing here are the views you can see from here. 360º around the city! Starred by the Mountain Range.

Total view of the city, where you can see the remarkable amount of green areas, and the mountains in horizon. The entrance is free, so it worths at least a short visit. Ask for the opening hours at tourist info points.
