One of Mendoza’s many delightful green areas. Made for a great refuge from the heat. The hop on hop off bus tour office is on the square, just opposite the Hyatt.

They need to do a little polishing up on this plaza, it just looks worn out and not that attractive. At least get the fountains to work. There was a craft market at the end of the day that offered a few items that appealed...More

We stayed in a hotel in front of the Plaza INdependencia. It's a really quiet neighborhood, when we visited the place we saw a handcraft fair, a playground full of kids and teen couples dating... Very family program. And at each corner, there are other...More

We spent two weekends staying nearby, Saturday and Sunday there are vendors 5-10, at least in summer, a playground, occasional live music. We walked through around 1-2 am on a Friday night and there were kids in the playground, couples on benches, very safe.

Plaza or city park unfortunately very abandoned by the city for the last 10 years. It seems like it used to be glamorous Park many years ago.

They are currently replacing the museum, but still worth a walk around. And down every street are shops, cafes, and more. Do watch your wallet, careless tourists have been known to lose theirs.

Beautiful park right at the center of Mendoza. Even though it was winter and cloudy on this particular Saturday, it had a nice stroll there. At it's end is Paseo Sarmiento which was closed to traffic and a great place to continue my walk with...More

Very nice Plaza, great to spend time in the sun or tasting some local Malbec and sandwiches or a cup of helado in the shadows of its trees. From it you can easily walk to four other plazas in the surroundings that make the city...More
