I was working in Buenos Aires for 6 weeks this spring (fall in Argentina) and my parents came for a visit. We decided to head to Mendoza, and my mom planned a two-day tour through Julian. Julian was an excellent resource from the start. He met us at our hotel the night we arrived, prepared us for the tours we had scheduled and also gave us several excellent recommendations for dining in Mendoza. The next day, he had arranged a private tour of three vineyards for us, with a private driver and our own English-speaking tour guide, who was extremely knowledgeable and a seamless addition to our small group. The first vineyard we visited, Clos de Chacras, was the smallest of the three, and we were given an intimate view of the bodega by own of the wine makers, Agustin, followed by a wine tasting. We then headed to Achaval Ferrer and then Finca Decero where we had a delicious lunch and more wine tasting.

Of the three of us, we had those who knew nothing about wine (me) to some more expertise (my parents); however, the tour taught all of us a great deal about wine making and the Mendoza region.

The next day Julian scheduled a cooking class at Familia Zuccardi which was just as perfectly planned as the previous tour. The hosts prepared a delicious breakfast for us while the kitchen set up, and even introduced my parents to mate, a traditional Argentinean drink.

Julian and all of his staff were extremely professional and responsive. I would highly recommend Malbec Symphony to anyone traveling to Mendoza, as they have the ability to truly contour a tour and cater it to individual needs.

My wife and I arranged with Malbec Symphony Tours two private tours of the Mendoza regions of Luján and Valle de Uco for October 27 and 28 of this year. Prior to our departure my wife corresponded several times with manager Marienela about our preferences and plans. At every stage her responses were detailed and precise, and she helped us decide on the optimal plan for us to visit three wineries each day and have lunches at the best locations. Tiffani was our guide and Richard our driver on both days. The two make a formidable team. They were punctual, friendly, witty, and very knowledgeable. Tiffani is studying to be an enologist so she spoke with authority about the wineries and about the intricacies of and variations in winemaking. During the drives, Tiffany would turn around from the front passenger seat to face us, talking to us and keeping us both informed and entertained. Tiffani’s attention to detail was very impressive. She would make sure that we had the proper attention at each stop, and she found for us the table with the most scenic location when we had lunch at Rucan Malén on the 27th and La Azul on the 28th. We can’t imagine that any of the other wine tour company in Mendoza can do as superb a job as Malbec Symphony did for us. We are very appreciative of their service and would recommend them very highly.

We booked a driver through Malbec Symphony for the drive over the Andes from Santiago to Mendoza. Our driver, Victor Tello (victorhugotello@gmail.com), picked us up from the airport and gave us a very enjoyable and informative drive. Victor is a former English teacher in Santiago, so his English is very good and he's very knowledgable about the area and the history of both countries.

We booked the drive because you can't rent cars one way across the border between the countries. We recommend the drive over a flight as we got to see some very nice sights along the way. We stopped at the Portillo ski resort, stopped to take pictures in front of Aconcagua and at the Inca Bridge, and stopped for lunch along the way. It was a beautiful, scenic drive and we liked Victor a lot. Victor also does driving and tours around the Santiago area.

The cost for two of us was USD $550, about the same as the flight would have been. The drive took about 6-7 hours, including the stops but could take longer due to weather or the border crossing. We went through the border crossing very quickly.

We had the pleasure to be in Argentina from April 5-22, 2012 and hired Malbec Symphony for our wine tour. Their services were top of the line with pick up at our hotel, visit of three wineries (Alta Vista Winery, Clos de Chacras Winery and Ruca Malen) and return to our hotel in Chacras de Coria. The next morning we were picked up at our hotel and returned to Mendoza as we hired them for a tour in the mountain, which did not turn out as my husband got sick. Thanks God, we had Malbec Symphony, with their chauffeur who had great contacts at a hospital as it allowed us to access a doctor rapidly. We have been treated like royalty by this company (Tracy and her brother-in-law, such great persons) and cannot recommend them enough to you. Great job, Malbec Symphony, this is what I expect from a tour company A+ service and we surely receive it. Thank you from the bottom of our hearth.

Mariana and Laura made our special day absolutely perfect! Planning a wedding in Argentina from Norway may seem difficult, but with the help of these girls everything turned out even better than we could have hoped for. We would not change even one minor detail.

My husband and I took the Andes transfer from Mendoza to Santiago with Malbec Symphony on February 1st. Their communication with us was excellent right from the beginning and their service was both professional and personal. We had the very good fortune of having the owners of the company take us on the drive over the Andes. The trip was wonderful and so much better than taking a quick flight. The scenery was gorgeous and we learned a lot about both Argentina and Chile. Julien and Melanie were charming company and we could not have been in better hands. Thank you so much for a memorable experience.

Malbec Symphony is fantastic! My boyfriend and I went on vacation to Argentina and one of the cities we visited in addition to Buenos Aires was Mendoza. I was looking for a tour company in Mendoza that would show us around the wineries and Malbec Symphony exceeded all expectations! From my very first interaction with Malbec Symphony, they were very responsive and very flexible with our schedule, creating a highly personalized itinerary. I interacted quite a bit with Julian, one of the owners, who was very nice and helpful. The wine tours were definitely the highlight of our trip and this was greatly attributed to our tour guide Mariano Facca. I would recommend to do private tours and not group, as our group Andes Mountain Tour was not nearly as memorable as the private wine tours. We did two days of private wine tours with Mariano; he was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. We did horseback riding through one winery and a cooking class in another winery - both amazing experiences! Mariano was by our side the whole day, translating and making our wine tour experience unforgettable!

Having identified Malbec Symphony on the web, I e-mailed to set out where I wanted to visit and asked for advice and suggestions. The advice received from Julian was so helpful and set the foundation for an unforgettable, wonderful holiday. Malbec Symphony is a small family business run by young, caring, intelligent and efficient people. Additionally, the guide and drivers we met were simply first class. We did two of the premium wine tours, the road trip to Santiago and had some valuable help with arrangements in Chile. We intend to come back as soon as possible to see other treasures in this part of the World. We have recommended this company to our best friends.

Just came back from a four days trip with two girl friends: one night in Mendoza city and two in the Cavas Wine Lodge (superb). Since we are argentineans we had a broad idea of what we wanted to visit, but there are so many bodegas, distances in between them are so big and we were so short on time that we badly needed advice. Julian was just great: he helped us make a sensible choice (taking into account our interest in architecture) and took care of all the reservation process. He recommended 2 great restaurants in Mendoza, and organized two many lunches with pairing wines that were superb. Timing was always impeccable.
We were so lucky that Julian himself did the driving. He is a soft spoken, cool and absolutely charming and very interesting company. Gave us plenty of information, not only about the bodegas on which he has a wide knowledge, but also on a variety of subjects related to the area. It was a delight to be with him during all those long hours of driving from one place to another.
I will treasure the last car trip we did with him: we had had an amazing and sophisticated lunch in the stunning O.Fournier winery, visited Clos de los 7, it was very cloudy and tiny snow flakes kept drizzling over the windshield. The landscape was a soft shade of grey with just a few early green bushes and occasional splashes of pink peach trees in bloom, and there we were, driving through the wines, listening to Pink Floyd, one of Julian's cds. Sometimes life is really good.

The folks at Malbec Symphony know their stuff and prepared for us a great package that included visiting boutique wineries and large ones, great choices for lunch and tasting menus. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable staff that was always on time and greatly enhanced our experience in Mendoza. If you like wine, like to visit wine regions around the world and are visiting Mendoza, we recommend them highly.
