- Maximiliano GarridoMendoza, Argentina92 contributionsLOS CAPUCHINOS CHURCH TOUR.We take the guided tour of the church, starting with its esplanade, seeing in detail its characteristic facade, then enter the interior and climb more than 40 meters knowing its history. This Franciscan temple. It is a very complete and pleasing architectural work. If you come to Córdoba City I recommend you not to miss this great activity.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 30, 2024
- CarlieMexico630 contributionsLOVED IT!!I am not a religious person, not very regular to art, but I LOVED this church!! The combination of colors on the exterior facade and how large and exploreable it is inside made me unique! If by day it is beautiful, at night it really becomes awesome!! I think it was my favorite monument in all of Cordoba. Too bad we didn't find out in time that there was a guided tour to climb your tower, we would have loved to, but they told us our last day and it had already started and they didn't let us join the group:/Visited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten August 11, 2024
- Ale LandeiraCordoba, Argentina31 contributionsChurch of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Capuchin Church)Located in Nueva Córdoba, on Buenos Aires and Bishop of Gold streets. This church was chosen as one of the artificial wonders of Cordoba. It took 8 years to build, ending completely in 1934. Gothic design by architect Augusto Ferrari. Beautiful place to visit and get to know part of the history of Córdoba.Visited November 2024Traveled soloWritten December 26, 2024

The church itself is impressive no doubt. But joining the official tour (@4:30 and 6:30) means you would have access to different corners and external corridors plus the rooftop of the church with stuffing views!! I highly recommend. The tour is ARS900 only and it’s about an hour long. You can request an English guide.

As I understand it the Church was inaugurated in the 1930 and underwent some restoration in more recent years. The term Capuchinos I gather refers to a Type of dress but also refers back to a specific groups of the Franciscans monks, name,up the Capuchins. Albeit the Cathedral/Church is one awesome beautiful edifice both inside and out. A definite item to consider on you tour list. I was a little too early in the morning to get the right light conditions for an outside pic.

We were walking searching for an ATM when we notice the big structure of this church. It has beautiful colors and it's amazing just to be staring at it.

I really enjoyed the cathedral. I want to say it is close to 400 years old. The Jesuits must have used Córdoba as a base.

The outside of this church is stunning in it's own right built out of different coloured stone but the inside is just as beautiful with stars on the ceiling. Really lovely.

This church stands out from the others by its unique facade, with many random colours. On the inside this church is also very well decorated.
