Parque Sarmiento is the biggest park in Cordoba and is absolutely huge! It is a stunning green area offering respite from the bustling city! There is much to do and you can purchase food, drinks and coffee nearby.

Inside the park there is much more than an outdoor walk surrounded by thousands of trees of all kinds.
Museums, exhibitions, a Natatorio that has just turned 100 years old perfectly preserved that will transport it to a golden age of Argentina.
A zoo, an amusement park for the family, a lot of grass to drink "mate con facturas" to feel like a local and have a rest under the trees.
It is always full young people because in their area are the best universities in Cordoba and some of the best in the country.
Definitely a pass to enjoy it for several days because only one is not enough.

This large park area isn't perhaps at it's best in the winter, but there is still a lot to see, including a small amusement park for families. The highlight is the adjacent Plaza Del Bicentario, which is in between the main park and Plaza Espana. Plaza Espana itself has seen better days and is now really just an ugly concrete ruin of what was presumably a very modern, cutting edge fountain when it was built. The Plaza Bicentario has a massive art installation of giant coloured rings, arranged in various configurations and is definitely the 'must see' area of the park. It's a great hang out for locals too. Very sadly, a lot of the rings have been defaced with graffiti, but it's still a great spot to visit.

It‘s a pity that such a place is not maintained by the city. It‘s generally dirty and nothing special. It would be a large place to make something out of it but it seems like they are ruining it...

A picture attached.

The branch Park is a fantastic journey that connects us with nature revealing us the largest of the City of Córdoba landscaped green space, and one of the largest in South America.

Planned and designed in the late twentieth century by French architect Carlos Thays, is named in honor of Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, former president of Argentina.

Sarmiento Park, not only traps us her incredible geography, but inside we find activities for everyone. If you are interested in is science and animals, we can continue our tour of the Natural History Museum and the Zoological Garden of Córdoba. But if what we like are the activities "outdoors", you can not miss the Amphitheatre, Greek Theatre, where public spectacles and artificial shallow lagoon, which has two islands and invites us to travel in are made charter boats.

The Parque Sarmiento in Cordoba Argentina is a nice park to visit if you're in the area. However, it doesn't merit a special visit. The display of rings is interesting, but not a must-see.

I dropped by Parque Sarmiento during freshers night, and boy it was PACKED! I appreciate it having all the students and young ones in the park though. They had a concert/party, and had food trucks!

Has one of the best sunset points in the city and you'll often find a group of photography students camped out to catch a glimpse of the golden hour views. There is a ferris wheel designed by the same man who did the Eiffel tower. Many of the locals use the park as a place to work-out and you'll see running, yoga, slackline, and many sports. The public pool is 30 pesos and quite large. This park is quite large and can take awhile to explore. Some places aren't very nice, but it's good to have such a large green space available.

I visited this park twice on weekdays. It's rather barren and includes the zoo, some founds, and a lake (ie, pond, lagoon). This part is not well-maintained and may be more fun on the weekend. If you like to watch birds, take your binoculars and take your time. Watch for parakeets building their nests, tordos, benteveos, and more.

The park itself is nothing special for Western world standards, the lake is just horrible, stinks, and I've never understood how can people go with the boats with all those algae. Apart from this the park is full of bars, restos, Choripan trucks and people running. Must go, for a beer in a dehor while sunbathing.
