We WhatsApp 'd Fernando early the first day after official quarantine was over. Fernando said to meet at 11. We had no idea really what to expect other than this would be a small boat trip, not the huge catamaran experience. We were not disappointed. The day was cloudy and actually a bit chilly in short sleeves. I forgot about that once we got underway. Fernando knows when to be quiet and when to explain. Our tour went through smaller and smaller riverways until we had to turn around. Actually, Fernando had to get out of the boat in water to his waste and to turn us around. No engine here. This was where we saw the best birds. And did I mention the quiet. I thought it was quiet here in Nordelta but the quiet there was exquisite. Time to meditate on more important things. I know we saw the same spots others have seen, but Fernando made it special. He has eyes like an eagle to point out the smallest details. It is worth doing over and over. Go!

An amazing day with Fernando. We arrived from a busy B Aires to this tranquil spot that resembled the Amazon! We had 5 hours journey through the most amazing scenery of islands and narrow waterways, passed delightful flowers. Stopped to get out of the boat and view White and Blue Heron, take off.

Traveling with two young kids can be tough, especially when you hate large, impersonal tours. We found the perfect match, however, when we booked Fernando for an Islas Tigre exploration. He was a great at communicating via text before the tour and secured life jackets for our kids. The tour itself was delightful, full of great stories and facts for the adults balanced with adventure and good food. We drank, laughed, learned a lot, and had a great time. In my mind, this highly personal tour epitomizes the creative exploration of a unique area. I’m sure we ended up with a totally different experience and understanding of the Tigre Delta than those who chose the large boat tours. Fernando’s knowledge of the area is so great that I bet we could hire him 2-3 times and get a different experience each time. If you like adventure and aren’t afraid to go off the beaten path then this is the tour for you.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Fernando is. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him, listening to him tell us all about the Tigre Delta. It is a great experience for families- we have two kids, ages 12 and 16 and they loved it. We stopped at a wonderful and quaint place for lunch. It is a small zodiac boat, so you can go where most cannot. He customizes the tour to what you want to do. We highly recommend this tour.

We have been 3 persons to do book an excursions (we were very lucky, because we only asked the day itself early morning and got a quick response) on the zodiac with Fernando, after having done a boot trip on the big boots the day before that was somehow boring. What to say first? Fernando is a perfect guide with a immense knowledge about the history of this region, the landscape and all fauna and flora. Beside this he made us discover a world we didn't image that could exist so close to Buenos Aires. And finally we had a bath and a walk in the water with the skyline of Buenos Aires as background. Amazing, a must in the region
