Although the sculptures are rather beautiful and the views over the lake and the city wide and open, the mill- monument is in sad state due to the very unimaginative tags and graffiti that make it look dirty and unsightly. It is a shame that, while some people work hard to provide the city and visitors with interesting spots, others work against them by spoiling the effort...

From the park took a walk up to the statues of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza next to the windmill! A Pleasant surprise. The statues are not solid metal but made using metal rods welded together and painted white ( maybe to contrast the dark rock and brown/ green of the trees?). The view of Tandil and the surrounding countryside was lovely with the Autumn colours!

My little brother and I loved visiting the statues! There was a short hike involved, but I believed it was worth it. However, it was difficult for me to see some parts of the statue, due to the lighting from the sun. I highly recommend that you visit this masterpiece early on in the day.

On top of a hill overlooking the town of Tandil you will find this monument for the honor of Don Quijote de la Manche.
There is a windmill and 2 statues; 1 is don quijote de la manche and the other of sancho pansa.
There is nothing much to do at the location except for taking photos of the beautiful panorama of Tandil and the little artificial lake.
Getting there by a dirt road, accessible by car or climbing by foot but not for little children.
